there is a reason why 95% of all sports games on the web is using this kind of player-market that we have here.

If ppl likes it or not becourse of some reason is understandable but games stick with this system either becourse (i dont know tho) its easy to create, players decide the price on the player, hard for ppl to cheat.
Ant thats just on top on my head.

Bud dident you buy a draft-player today Johnny?

Basicaly for it comes down to this... If I'm interested in a player would I feel better about loosing him in the TM because I wasnt the last one to bid on him or because I didnt offer the seller the most money?

I understand new managers frustrations in that it would seem like older teams would have an advantage (and maybe they would in the beginning)but at the same time it forces all of us to think critically about just how important that said player will be to your team. I truely do feel that a blind bidding system will in the end work itself out.. it as a system atleast allows that flexibility. With the current system I dont see the same flexibility.. there is no curve when it comes to the last man who bids wins. I'd rather lose the player because of money on the table instead of the time clock.

Yep - the only one listed for ages with a deadline when I could be online - all the other 'big' players currently on the market finish at times roughly 4-5 hours after I will have to go offline......

But the only other thing I think you guys fail to realize also that many time new user get good player because they fall in the cracks during bid wars as well.

sense the draft there have been a lot of draft players going for a lot of money ,but at the say time avg price of other talented young guys have gone down because of these bid war eating up the money of older teams and team focus on the top 5- 10 players on the market.

Giving the newer guys a chance on those top 10-25 player that would upgrade there teams. and those same players would only be projects for the older teams.

Since the original suggestion got a little off topic with all the "who's got time to be online and who doesn't", I'd like to post my idea here.

So here's a thought:

1. How about the maximum you can bid on a player is his wage x 1000.
2. Any ammount you bid above that increases his wage when he joins the winning bidder's team.
3. This increase will stay with him throughout his carreer as long as he's with that same team.
4. When he gets put up on the TM his wage goes back to normal.

So with an example check out this guy:

1. His wage is 18.000, so the maximum bid can be 18 million without any increase in wage.

2. Someone goes as high as 36 million with his bid. 18/36 = 0,5 so a factor of 1,5 will be put on the player's wage. This means the player will have a wage of 27.000 after joining the winning bidder's team.

3. When this guy's tackling skill goes up to 40, his wage should be around 88.300 (accoring to the manual) But since he has a 1,5 on his wage it'll be 132,450. That's what I mean by the increase staying with him throughout his career.

4. In case the manager decides to sell the guy at 40 tackling, since his wage is killing his economy (through overbidding him so much earlier, i.e. poor long term decision), the wage shown on the TM is of course the original 88.300.

So his wage x 1000 equals 88 million without any "penalty", which is a lot of bidding room. This way 40+ skill guys won't often have such penalties, and won't kill the economy at that stage of the game.

This is just a rough idea, but I think there won't be much cheating possibilities with this system without hurting our own economy in the process. The maximum 16k and 50% bidding steps could be gone. Of course people could just put their players up on the TM for the x1000 price, but I don't think every player is worth that much (like a player with a wage of 400 is definitely not worth 400k unless he has really high physicals) so the market will decide the prices. But just to be sure there should be a "report strange bidding" button or something.

Thoughts?

1 question if some one have bid blind (manager C) on this guy 36 million and manager A and B are in bid war and manager B stop at 31 million manager A continue 31.001.000 what happen at the dead line?
Manager C get the player
Manager A get warning some one have bid 31.002.000 or 36.000.000
Manager A over bid 36.001.000 and get the player (will he get wages penalty)?

I guess today's battle for one WR and RB are clear indications how the prices can go up when all players can compete...

unfortunately I cannot accept prices over 40 mil.

Yes, I can buy both player with price over 30, I can buy even both player with price for 40 mil, but it makes no sense in long term.
Pity, they were very good players.
