When i get that right, nobody would be forced to use that OpenId and still could use the current mechanism. So, that brings me to a "...don't care...". However, to be honest, i think there maybe other subjects in the game which may need more attention than a new login-mechanism. The thing with it is: you have to bring in a newbee first, and then you can try to keep him "alive"...the question will be if there are more joiners or not once we introduce such features. So - do we NEED it? apparently most of us here don't think so.
Would it boost the game? Sounds as though it might, so maybe it's a good thing after all.

Speaking for myself I don't care about the possibility to use a FB Account to register or login at another system. Even if this is an option I create a new account manually at those systems.
But I agree, for some people that might be a 'pro argument' to start/test a new game. Since this wouldn't harm any other people who don't want such stuff it should be okay to add this feature. |
