It seems silly to me that there is a morale/ team chemistry hit wen switching a player from Wide Receiver to Kick Returner. There are plenty of real life teams that use these kinds of players in both positions (Devin Hester from the Chicago Bears is a great example). I recently discovered that one of my kick returners would also make an excellent WR but I don't know if it's worth the hassle of lowering his morale/chemistry just for this. The alternative of playing him out of position and taking a skill hit makes that decision pointless. Just a thought.

You can play ANY player at KR or G without having the ingame penalty
Also you can play P on K and K on P without having the ingame penalty |

Right, what I guess I'm trying to say is maybe the option of making a KR able to play WR without penalty as well.

Well, there is no penalty to switch the position for a while for any player when you first get them...
I would not have anyone specifically labeled as KR or gunner if possible. It reduces the flexiblity. Last edited on 2012-02-29 21:35:48 by sfniner08 |

I am going to wait til I have a string of easy or unimportant games then I'm going to do a little rebuilding. I'm also going to begin construction of the players lounge to hopefully get that morale and chemistry under control. sfniner08 wrote:

Well I kind of see the point Aunshova is trying to make. Since practically no one is using the KR position for their players only assigning their RBs and WRs, they don't get the bonus from an ST AC coach during a game. But if we list a player as KR he'll get the out of position penalty from playing RB or WR on top of that. So even though they play as KR (or G for defensive players) all the time, I don't know why this doesn't work vica versa.

the problem is every one could play as KR. If a KR could play on every other Position without penalty every player would changed to KR.
My FB is a KR my RB is a KR my WR is a KR my TE could be a KR my CB maybe could be a KR my SF could be a KR all this positions have mostly carrying or catching and speed. So you can´t say a KR should be a WR without penalty because the KR had not to be a WR. |

I'm not saying a KR should be able to play every position, just WR.
If anything I think the KR and G positions could be eliminated all together, or at least make those positions a little more relevant in terms of assigning a player to those positions. This means the only time KR and G would show up is when you set your depth chart and assign your best suited players for those positions, as it is now, without penalty. Nogard wrote:

Well...if you list all your players under your special team then they will only get the bonus from your ST AC during plays when your special team is up on the field. Which is like 20% of every game maybe? So no coaching bonus for the rest of the game. Isn't that enough penalty?

The thing is, I don't know how important a kr will really be. I have yet in 2 seasons seen any big return. Why even have a kr position outside of the depth chart?
