As far as the marketing tale goes. Robert is an athlete of your dream.

It's like he's been the best son in law a mother can wish for (as long as you are not a redneck mother ...)

But i think there are better athletes in the current draft

My Favs are Matt Kalil and Stephan Hill

I think RBIII is a winner.
If he fits into the NFL machine (some just don't) he will be good.
I'm not a fan of those QB hype each year, but with the rookie cap installed, it's wise to take a QB you think will bring you to another level early.

Kalil is always projected to go as #3.
Hill is no second on the WR list most saying, so he will also go first round.

Whole draft is a guessing game.
Will this guy be good in our system and worth the price?
That's all.
If you look at older drafts from the past, almost 50% or round 1 and 2 did not deliver as expected.

Look at Hernandet and Gronkowski, they both no first round picks, and look what they have done last season?

I know what you say, but QB is the most interesting Position and the hype is for my opinion to high, because if you have a very good QB like RG3 but not a good OL to protect or RB/WR to catch the ball, the QB is lost, so in my mind the other position must be more important!!!

And where they go? it depends on the Teams needs, i think the rams need alot of this^^

The TAGGING is totally odd at the moment.

It's only a "I want something of value for that guy"-TAG.

Yes, many players stay where they are, but many get a new contract and then are shipped.

That's not the idea of that TAG.

+1

Glad the Packers didn't jump that boat and let Matt Flynn slip into free agency. Which I think is a great factor when it comes to RG3. Who will land Flynn won't have to trade to the 2nd spot. Also the reason why the Rams try to trade away their spot now. And not as usual on Draft day or shortly before.

Everyone in the NFL expect, that the Colts will release Manning today. Than the crazy race can beginn. I hope the cards will not participate, to get an old, injured and expensive QB.

This is just the prove that agents and egos are way to high in the NFL.
They could have restructered the contract to be fair for both side, but instead the just hit the explode button.

Can't understand those players and agents ....

Consider this:

Since 1990 only 3 qb's drafted stayed with that team to win a superbowl.

Peyton Manning, Big Ben, and Tom -G.O.A.T-.

Obviously -G.O.A.T- was the surprise out of the 3.

Technically Eli wouldn't qualify but you could count him as well.

So in all 4 qbs in over 20 years have been drafted by a team and taken that team to the superbowl for a win.

If you wanted to include qb's who were drafted by the team and made it to the superbowl it would have:
McNabb
K Collins (although it was a fluke season as it was the first season in Carolina Panther history)
McNair
I think there were 2 more....just can't remember off the top of my head.

Some might try to say Favre, but he as a Falcon first and then traded to GB.

I don't hold a lot of stock in qb's getting drafted high.

Collins didn't take the Panthers to the Super Bowl. Jake Of The Man (Delhomme) was the QB on the Panthers in '03 (after beating the Eagles in the NFC title game ). Kerry Collins was the QB for the Giants team that got pounded by the Ravens in 2000.
