At the moment Coaches would only leave your team without penalty when they retire.

You have to pay 5 week wages if you want to change something in your coaching squad.

There are coaches on the market which are 35 years old (youngest) and they will retire when they are 60 or older. maybe the could stay until they are 70. I don´t know.

So if you hire such a 35 yo coach he has to stay in your team for at least 25 seasons without a penalty. I think this time is to long.

What do you think about a HR Department for coaches. So you can hire a coach for a couple of years.

I think it shouldn´t be there contracts for only 1 season or maybe 2, but maybe 5 year terms as a minimum.

I think this will also be good for rookies like me, how don´t know which coaches are the best for my team how many coaches are the best for my team.

The term of the contracts could be for example 5y, 8y, 10y or 20y depending of the age of the coach so for a 60yo coach it shouldn´t be possible to hire for 20y maybe for the old one there could be also a 2y term.

So because it shouldn´t be complicated, I speak only about the terms of contracts not about the wages. That could be a part of the contract be it hadn´t to be.

Maybe the wages are fix like now only depend on exp and con. And maybe the short terms of contract could be more expensive than the long terms. Also a new calculation of the wages by rising the expierience when the term of the contract ends and you want to give the coach a new contract.

What do you think about it? I hope everyone understand what I mean.

Good idea.

Just for completion: It would also be solved by skipping the penalty after a few season(s).

Yes that could also be a solution.

I have no problem with the penalty and I think it´s the right way to stop hire and fire a coach like you want, but I am afraid to hire a coach for 25 seasons.

Edit:

maybe during the offseason there would be no penalty.

Bad idea.
I don't see the point, I don't see the need, I don't see any advantages.
In fact, the only thing that I do see is...unnecessary complication.

I think the easiest way would be, that you can fire or replace a coach after 5 seasons without a financial penalty.

There should be something there so that you don't have to take a huge penalty later on. Think about a new owner who gets a coach he can afford and then 4 or 5 seasons later he wants to upgrade the coaching position and has to take a significant hit for it. I don't know what the length of time should be but 20+seasons is too long.

What are we talk about?

If i would like to exchange all my staff it would cost me 4,6 Mill

So thats all!

Money is not the issue imo

It is more like: do i want to make a long term plan

OR

do i want to "play around with coaches and please dont make it too expensive"

The whole discussion for me seems to be based on the last one - but imo is no need for since enough money is around

OFF TOPIC:

Well sort of, I didn't want to start a new thread for a similar thought. But am I the only one who wishes they had more coaching points to spend. I get that setting a maximum allowance creates diversity in coaching staff but why not have a sort of level up system that rewards you with more Coaching Points to spend on better coaching staff based on your performance as club manager? Like have a milestone system that gives you say 50 points for making a certain amount of money at some point, ie, "Congratulations! Your club has reached a net worth of 25 million dollars! As a bonus, the board has offered you extra resources to spend on improved coaching staff."

It kinda does:

Junior Manager: Junior Managers could place bids on players for up to 500,000. They are allowed to hire 1 Head coach, and up to 2 Assistant Coaches. Building up to 4 facilities is within their permissions. Hiring additional staff like Doctors is possible. Opening the HR Department could become an important task. The Youth academy could be enhanced. This rank can be achieved by Rookie Managers if they build at least 15,000 seats in their stadium.

General Manager: General Managers could place bids on players for up to 2.5 million. Up to 5 Assistant Coaches could be hired. General Managers are allowed to build as many facilities as they need. Junior Managers have to build at least 25,000 seats in their stadium to become a General Manager.

Right, but there is still a set amount of coaching points. I do like where the manager rank system is going I just want to see it expand to provide more late game content for the folks that have played this game longer than others.
