Does training a skill with an AC that doesn't train that skill have the same result as training it without an AC? So what I mean is:

My best AC is my LB AC. I don't have an ST AC. If I want to train punting for my P in the YA, does it make any difference which position he's listed under?

With no ST AC the ac-cp formula = 1 for that position. But what if my player is listed under LB, and I try to train him in punting? Is there a little bonus training him under an AC even though that coach doesn't know jack about punting? Or is the ac-cp formula = 1 for this particular skill as well and any other the LB AC "doesn't train"?

If a LB-AC could train punting (or which ever skill you like) this whole training concept wouldn't make any sense, right?

So, Peter please correct me, but unsupported skills are treated as no AC => AC-CP = 1.

That's what I'm curious about. Normally this would be true in RZA, but in real life even the dumbest of coaches know a little something about punting, so I figured I'll ask and go for sure how this is handled in the game.

Waiting for this as well!

I wouldn't say it that way.
In real life a coach can bring you to a certain level, defined by his knowledge and your ability to understand it and to reproduce it on the field.
So a non-punting-knowledge coach might know that the ball has to be kicked without a drop to the ground or a holder, but he for sure don't know about techniques you need to become the best punter alive.

In RZA, the training system is always progressive, so with time everyone gets better. Totally different.

There is no bonus on unsupported skills out of an AC, no matter if the position is OK or not.

That clarifies it, thanks!
