Just got my team and tried to sort my players out into the right position. Any tips for this as it doesn't seem straight forward - ie the best kickers also seem to be good QBs etc.

Does it work like real life ... ie QB is the most important position so get dibs on the best players if there's a conflict ?

Was thinking about just going by main skill,

ie best Passers get put QB
best Carry go RB
bets Catches go WR
best Blockers go OL
best Kickers go K (unless they have another high skill)

Or are the starting players all rubbish and will get replaced soon so it doesn't really matter.

Thanks.

Any specific advice on particular positions ... I noticed that about the CBs having higher ratings (I have five 2.5* CBs and no FBs above 1.5*).

What are the most important positions in RZA ?

For example ... if a young player has loads of carrying and lots of (but not quite as much) passing then you would normally think well he might be a better kicker than RB but RB is more important so I'll make him a RB even though he may have 2.5 stars as a Kicker and 1.5 stars as a RB.

look at the top of this rookie area. There is a thread first steps. In this thread there is also a very useful guide "for dummies" as pdf.

It is not the non + ultra because it´s written by an user not by the admin, but the skill overlook was very helpful for me to find the right positions.

You should never forget, Am Football is a Team Game. There is no most important position. Every single position is important for the success.

The best QB is nothing without an O-Line who protects him or without receivers who could catch the ball.

And never forget in this game the physical skills (speed and strength).

The best blocker is nothing without strength.

The best catcher nothing without speed.

For my $$, the most important positions at the start are:

RB
DL
High Intelligence MLB and QB

CBs are a bit over-ranked (my slowest OL rates 2** as a CB!) by the game engine, imo. OLs seem the most under-ranked. Don't ignore the position ratings, but don't get hung up on them, either.

If you get your players' Physical Condition trained up first, you'll beat many new teams.

And - off topic - build up your stadium. That is job 1!
