I don't know if it would be helpful to have a thread or forum for questions about what position might work for a player someone has. The thread would be for someone to ask advice and people could give it if they wish.

I do have a question about a player of mine...

I've posted about him before and still don't know what to do with him..

His stats:
17 years old 5 stars.
Right now he is at 40 strength and 35 speed.
11 positioning
13 carrying
12 agility
8 vision
almost 10 catching
37 int
26 tw

What screwed up the plan is he is going to cap at 44 strength and 38 or 39 speed. I was training him to be a monster rb, but don't know if 38 speed is quite going to cut it.

TE seemed like a possibility but his stats won't surpass my current starter who is 21 until he is old enough to retire lol.

WR maybe? But is that strength wasted?

TW seemed low for an OL or DL

Only 5.7 in tackling, so it would really slow his developement to become a lb,sf, or cb.

What do you think is the best route? I want to utilize him the best with that 5 talent and decent to good physicals.

RB or FB ......... some of the next Draft players have lower strength and speed, therefore I wouldn't get hung up on 1 or 2 speed/strength points ....it's the full package that counts.

sfniner08: since hes 5 star and he got good combined str and speed i would have put him on SS mainly i think,

secondly i would think he can be a great TE but these players dosent have that big impact at this stage of the game, maybe they will later, maybe they dont.

I dont mind that TW so DL would also be an option, since he will if it happends to be, a great 2,3 stringer at that position.

As a fourth option i would place him as MLB, he wil not be a monster there but maybe well a 2 or 3 stringer aswell.

Good strong RB or rushing FB ("Monster from Shotgun")

It seems like most players seem to have a physical cap in the 30s.... If they are 5* I'd keep them and train their position/vision (which ever their position requires). The in RL best players at said position arent always those with the best physical specs so I'm not as crazy on this as most folks but this could come back to haunt me..

That guy will be strong at any number of positions... I'm going against my philosophy but i'd train that guy in the YA to be good at any set number of skills (wouldnt worry about tackling as its too low now) so by the time you send him up you can put him at whatever position lacks the most promise so you'd atleast have comfortable depth. He wont make any all-star teams but he'll be a championship piece

The guy is going to be a very good RB. So, if you are in the need of a RB i would use him as a RB.
If this guy would be in my team however, i would use him as a FB since i have 2 excellent RBs.
