All of his numbers look really good. I would have a problem getting rid of him especially if he could stay another year in my YA and I could build his skills. I would build his catching and probably use him as a WR.

Are we still talking about the guy who is red capped at 42 speed?

If he was in my academy he would have been cut a long time ago, but a younger team may have less to work with. I would play him at TE before I put a guy that slow at WR. QB or P would be other options for him. Might be worth some more on the TM if you make him look like a QB (assuming his talent is fairly high).

SPE: 42.3 (red)

Making him a MLB depends on whether you are blitzing a lot, he is certainly too slow to do that,

No SPE: 42.3 (red) is not "too slow to do that".

My three MLBs in S24

Marius Pouliquen SPE 36,1 (cap)
16 sacks

Zachary Kieffer SPE 39 (cap)
8 sacks

Ismaël Marin SPE 39,3 (near cap)
7 sacks

Normal is just relative.

S24 / Statistical Leaders / catch TD / all D1 leagues
N°1 has 31 TD
N°17 has 21 TD (Logan Dumoulin)

S24 / Statistical Leaders / catch TD / Dragons 1.1
N°1 has 27 TD
N°6 has 21 TD (Logan Dumoulin)

Logan Dumoulin is one of my WRs.
SPE 40,7 (cap)
That's even less than "that slow".
Furthermore, he certainly is an idiot (INT 25,4).

So your guy gets playing time. TDs don't really mean much. Drop Rate and Interceptions Created and YAC are far more informative. Are you saying you would rather have a dumb slow receiver than a fast smart one...? I'd put him somewhere where his speed doesn't matter as much. He doesn't have good WR traits, so its really bad advice to suggest he put the player at WR. BTW, a little weak for my tastes, but I agree he is quick enough for MLB.

All I was saying, is that with physicals as low as that, the guy never would have red capped in my youth academy. Too many better options available for 5K on the TM.

This is what my caps look like for my senior youths:
STR - - - SPD - - - INT - - - TW - Project Position
45.4 - - - 50.0 - - - 27.3 - - - 49.0 - - - FB (pass Blocker)
45.6 - - - 47.5 - - - 37.3 - - - 50.0 - - - SF (Track Star)
49.6 - - - 44+ - - - 37.4 - - - 40.0 - - - TE
50.0 - - - 35+ - - - 34.7 - - - 50.0 - - - DT (Sure Tackler)
44.5 - - - 46+ - - - 34.4 - - - 42.0 - - - P (Strong Leg)
49.6 - - - 37+ - - - 47.7 - - - 50.0 - - - K (Strong Leg)
44.6 - - - 50.0 - - - 21.4 - - - 45.0 - - - RB (Track Star)
49+ - - - 36+ - - - 26.3 - - - 50.0 - - - OL or DL
unk - - - unk - - - 50.0 --- 50..0 --- unknown until I find caps

Recent grads (last 2 seasons):
48.6 --- 40.5 --- 50.0 --- 43.0 --- QB
40.6 --- 49.5 --- 44.5 --- 49.0 --- WR
44.3 --- 50.0 --- 24.3 --- 40.0 --- RB
49.6 --- 40+ --- 30.4 --- 49.0 --- OL (Pass Blocker)
50.0 --- 41+ --- 28.2 --- 50.0 --- OL
50.0 --- 36.3 --- 39.8 --- 48.0 --- OL (Track Star)
49.6 --- 41.5 --- 33.6 --- 49.0 --- TE (Track Star)
45.1 --- 47.6 --- 33.4 --- 41.0 --- LB (Sure Tackler) --- 6th string
41.3 --- 48.6 --- 39.3 --- 43.0 --- CB (Strong Arm) --- On cut list

In general, including traits, I try to get at least one physical over 49. I'd also try to get smarter guys than I have on my list. Most of my smart guys washed out in recent years due to low physicals.

I love it when specialists try to speculate whereas facts and figures just show they are wrong.

No.

I did not.
You told what you would (not) have done. I told what I did.

One question for you "what to do with this guy".
I have a player with SPE 40,7 (cap) and INT 25,4.
Can't he play as WR, what do you suggest ?
I know you think "Interceptions Created are more informative" than TDs.
So I'd like to let you know that my team has ONE interception (S24, all official games). I guess my "dumb slow receiver" did not help...

I do not expect any answer to my question.
BU Terriers / sotko, League: Galaxy 2.1, joined the game: 2016-12-24 / S24.
He needs reliable information. Nothing else.

And you are giving bad info. Just because your 32 year old veteran with 4* experience can catch the ball, doesn't mean a guy with more intelligence and speed wouldn't be better.

This is a perfect example of an anecdotal fallacy. One years stats for one veteran player is not "facts and figures". Its an anecdote.
