His Skills are all the same ~, just positioning is a bit higher.
I could need a TE, is speed not so important for that position? Got 2young FB with nearly the same physicals so no need for another backup. A backup DT could not be bad, otherwise i would used him as OL probably. Lacking on experience to know how much speed is needed on each position. |

Depends on how you want to use the TE. I would probably go with TE myself. I wouldn't put a guy with 37 TW on my O-Line.

I understand that some people have red lines they won't cross i.e. no one with TW of 37 on your OL - but I like to look at the skills togehter and if they have good Str (poss 49 in this case) with half decent Intel and good skills then why not accept a slightly lower TW - it's very difficult getting exactly the right fit and sometimes you just have to keep upgrading on what you have now - sometimes this is a game of marginal gains to keep progressing

My red line for OL is 47, so 37 is more than a few points lower in my book. I'm not sure what the actual weightings are, but its certainly possible that a guy with 45 Strength and 50 TW provides the same value as a similar player with 49 Strength and 37 TW. Would you put him on the line if he had 45 STR and 50 TW? I would wouldn't, and I wouldn't out a guy with 37 TW on the line either.
Its also not especially hard to find guys with 48/49 strength and 45+ TW. Last edited on 2017-04-10 17:25:30 by Rock777 |
