Now, another question :

21 yo

STR 45
SPD 50

31 INT
38 TMWK

24 VIS
19 POS
18 TACK

Still rough, but a diamond in the rough should be more preciseto describe him

What would be the best position for him?

43 Speed (red)

37TW

Lineman. Offense or defense, your choice.

TW is a little low for the line. I'd probably go TE or FB. Could probably play MLB as well if you don't mind the lower INT.

Is this the guy you are arguing about.

The thing that is shocking is that Rock has got away with suggesting that MLB would be a suitable position for a player with 35 Intelligence !!!!!! whilst suggesting others are giving bad advice. What a crazy world we live in.

Lineman is probably the best spot anyway. He is average at speed, Int, TW and very good at strength. So to make the most of him you play him in a spot where Strength is a key asset which is Lineman. He's not an optimal lineman prospect but then again he's a fairly mediocre prospect full stop.

Oh wait, another good manager who's been in the Elite for several seasons disagreeing with Rock, clearly we're all clueless around here

I'd probably think about him as a mismatch WR or RB/FB.

I prefer high intelligence in the 'Intercepting' positions. It does supposedly help prevent themas a Receiver but is probably more relevant to the defender.

DE ... depends on your take on Speed for DE. I'm not fussed about it so would go with him in the open field.

People might tell you his INT is too low for the position, because to be fair it's not ideal, but this guy with only 34.2 INT got me 5 INT in his first 3 Elite seasons (including this one after only 8 games) and his tackling % has been 83%, 82% and 83% in Elite games only.

Before Rock complains about him being too weak his strength is also "only" 39.9.

All this to say that he could make a good CB, at least as long as you define good as the guy I linked to above but Rock might have a different standard. This guy also comes from my YA (with only 31 TW!) before I get accused of buying good players

It really depends what you need. I could play him OLB or CB. Even if INT is a bit low. Now the good question is what is the FTW? The skills are a bit low for a 21 yo but if FTW is similar to POS i woukd play him DE. If not it would take too long to build him so I would go first for CB in a 4 CB rotation system.

What physicals/TW/Int are your suggesting overall for TE/FB/RB?

For sure higher=better but to give me atleast a clue how much speed a TE needs or str for FB.

Hi fellow managars, what to do think about this guy (final year of YA) :

INT : 35
TMWK: 41

STR 41
SPD 48.5
both capped

AGI 29

POS 21
VIS 21
And tackling a little bit trained too

Sure tackler trait, so a no-brainer at CB ?

I'd probably go SF. Sure tackler will make up for slightly lower strength. I'd prefer more Intelligence at CB.

I'd go RB, FB, or SF. Pretty solid SF, but could be a very nice RB option if you don't already have someone better. Or FB if you team uses FBs more than RB.

I think people worry a bit too much about the exact position of a player. LBs, CBs, SFs all need roughly the same skills to be good. I tend to just regard these players as non-DL defenders and then they shuffle positions over time.

I tend to prioritise CBs so give them first dibs.
