And more money for supporters would mean supporters get a real benefit, which is not the idea!
EDIT: Of course I mean this is game play point of view. The experience of the game for managers should be better and supporters get something of value, but the players and games are the same! Last edited on 2012-04-10 08:07:19 by jack6 |

The experience of the game for managers should be better and supporters get something of value, but the players and games are the same! explain how this is any different than the supporters getting more rivalry games? I'm assuming there is something beneficial for being in a rivalry game... doesnt more of them mean greater benefits? Oh and a philosophical question in the guise of the ontologists.. If there is a rivalry game and there are no benefits, is it really a rivalry game? |

If there is a rivalry game and there are no benefits, is it really a rivalry game? IMO there is no outcome from the rivalry, except the bragging factor. This is why in my model the number of rivalries doesn't play any role. |

And from another angle.. if you have 10 rivals... you have no rivals. |

The suggestion was to have the rivalry on the overview page and state the status of wins and losses. What else do those rivalry do like Michigan - Notre Dame? Or Alabama vs Auburn. Everybody is bragging about it the whole year and they bragging about past matches and results. OK, the are part of the regular game plan, but at the end they don't count much more in comparison to other games. This is a FUN element. And of course in that light: if I have 10 rivalries I can chat about it's worth more than a team with 3. |

I would get with a maximum of 3 rivalries. You can name them once and only change them in the offseason. The positiv effect of a rivalry game would be a sold out stadium.
