Would appreciate some opinions re this player in my YA. He's only 17 therefore no hurry in deciding his future, but I like to have a rough idea of which position a player is destined for ....depending upon caps, of course.
Anyway ....

17 yrs old,"normal" non-physical skills for YA i.e. nothing very notable.
Speed trained to 34 when a yellow cap appeared, so will red-cap at 38/39 probably.
Intell=37. Teamwork=27 ....... nearly said "Consistency & Talent " also, but then I remembered that this is not -TOG-!

Originally, I was thinking that if speed red-caps at approx 45 he'd be a Cornerback, but it won't ... so he isn't !.
Now, I'm training strength to see the caps.
At the moment, I'm thinking "Safety" , but maybe DT/NT depending on strength ???

i would take a look where his strength cap i personal like very strong DL so if he get yellow before 40 then i would play him on the transfer market
just my opinion

Often times when I get a player who will cap out in the high 30's in either strength or speed I end up making him into a TE or FB as those two positions require the most diverse set of skills and it is difficult to train all of their skills up to max. If you have a surplus of TE and FB then see if the strength cap is high enough to be on the line. In either case training strength is the next step to determining a possible position.

I was thinking similar to niner here. Especially the FB option. But Strength will determine his future...

lol .. I was thinking similar to both of you , but I do seem to have a problem with "visualising" future players in that quite often I look at my youth pull and instantly think "yeah, TE/FB", but unless Pete will add a new formation to the game "Shotgun 6 TE" or "Wishbone 3 FB" then pretty soon I'm gonna have a roster full of FB's and TE's .... or maybe I'll just flood the TM with my FB & TE collection.

but seriously, keep the suggestions coming because I like the cross-section of views, it always provides food for thought.

Yes....I have too many fb's and te's myself. Probably going to put some on the market soon. They are pretty good players....just kills me to sell them...

hi guys, i would like to use this thread to ask for another player in my YA. i´m still wondering what to do with this player... too slow for a RB/WR, too weak for playing at the line.
i feel like wasting him, if i set him as another "strength-capped-thought-it-could-be-an-OL" TE/FB.
do you think he could be a good MLB?

Looks to me like his Intel is too low to play MLB

If this speed is going to be capped higher, perhaps an OLB or a backup SF.

okay, his INT is really not that high. probably not MLB.

he just got the yellow! on speed and strength with the last time training it.
i don´t really know, but maybe he ends up on 41 speed?
