This sounds nuts and also impossible ...but it did happen, so as it seems to be a bug I'll post it here .....
This morning, I was watching the bidding war for the CornerBack between Turtle and dark_wing. I was viewing the player page and occasionally using 'reload' to see the price rising. I hit 'reload' and the page displayed was the 'free agent signing' page i.e. "Since your team uses the contract mode you are allowed to enter negotiations with this player. On successful negotiation the player will enter your Senior Team no matter of his age." To say that I was surprised would be something of an understatement ! with hindsight I know that I should have (a) taken a screenshot (b) taken a copy of the page source (c) signed the player as a free agent ! (joke !). unfortunately, by the time I noticed the "contract screen" I'd already hit reload and the page reloaded back to the 'normal' player page. btw...this is not an April Fool's post...it did happen. I do use contract mode ...but I think you already worked that out. |

I think (not 100%) sure that I had a total of 3 tabs (firefox) open at the time; one tab was -TOG-(maybe -TOG-is sabotaging RZA  ), the third tab was RZA ... but I can't remember what ...maybe Mails/inbox or something like that. Don't think being in multiple tabs will make a difference, but I thought I'd mention it. |

Had this before too and tried to place and sign directly
although no bid was placed in the meantime at least system checked the error and did not give me the player So it seems that no one can "steal" away a player thats why i did not care |

but I reported the bug because (a) it's a bug therefore needs reporting (b) I thought that a manager who is new to contract mode may get very confused/frustrated by this bug. However, I was slightly worried about reporting it because it seemed so unlikely (similar to the "no cost" for scout reports bug). |

In case i would have got the player into the team the other time, i would have reported it
But so it was no bug for me, just an incosistency, so i did not care because it could not hurt me or others  |

I only noticed it everytime withij last 2 minutes of bidding
it happend when bidding myself as also when not bidding but just reloading to watch development of bid war mostly i do reload by use F5 |
