Sorry, but the Superbowl didn't start until 1967.

I waited for that

Why not keep them at the club, but show them as having been won under a previous manager. Then you get continuity, and clarity. . .

Or even better - why don't I read the chuffing poll properly, and then I'll find out that you're already proposing that.

No wonder we lost our first round playoff game with me in charge

My 2 cents to that:

A fair implementation would be to versionize the team-id.
So if a team is given a new manager, that OLD team keeps the trophy and the records and so on and the NEW starts as a new franchise.

I don't like the idea to forget the achievements a team made in the past, just because the manager lost interest or for what ever reason left the game. So I like the idea of keeping the trophies.

On the other hand I can't see a reason why a bloody noobs, who by randomness got the hands on the most successfull franchise in RZA history ith one gazillion trophies should have them in his trophy case, while my franchise was managed 20 seasons longer but never won a damn trophy, because of that damn successfully manager (before he went bot) has nothing to show. Seems wrong to me.

I knw that versioning team-ids would cause database changes and more database space would be needed and so on, but any other solution looks like a workaround.

Only other thing that came in my mind was, to enhance the team history page and add THERE the old trophies, including the name of the manager and the franchise.

So .. what should I vote now?

Versionized teamids are out of focus, sorry

It sounds like you should vote for "keep them, but tell who won it"

I think it adds a sense of history to our already great game. Coaches come and go but championship trophies are forever set in place as a shrine to the footballing gods who once battled on the very turf you are about to set foot on.

A big keeper from me...or should that be adder

I like the continuity of keeping the trophies, with the old name.

I'd be motivated (as a new manager) to see I'm taking over a franchise with a successful history, so I think it would give a small boost to retention, too!

And should the day come that I have to leave the game, it's nice to know that some small legacy will linger.

Maybe there would be an option for new managers: 1) rename old franchise and empty a trophy room; 2) not change a franchise name and keep trophies

I would like to avoid each additional question on the signup process. Stats showed me there is a good number of users strggling already with this, and I would like to make it easier instead of more question.

Regarding that problem - you could always have some of the options for a new manager not 'go live' until they had been playing for - say - a month. Then after 1 month in you know that firstly they are not going to be an early drop out, and secondly they have some idea of the game. At THAT point you can ask them some supplementary set up questions. . .

'Hey Coach, now you've been in the chair for a few weeks - whatdya wanna do with these dusty old Superbowl trophies from yester-year?'

Actually this trophy discussion isn't the best example of this kind of idea - but there will be other options that could be unlocked by length of game play - that's pretty standard for most PC games.
