In the past we discussed about batch scouting. This is useful especially on scouting Draftees - you just add all Draftees you would like to scout to kind of a basket, and execute this basket once.

Another discussion was about storing scout reports in a database to compare them easily. Last but not least to see if you scouted a player or not.

Now I spent some thoughts on it, and came to the following conclusion:

Batch scouting should be a supporters feature

It is a comfort function, and would not add any disadvantage to non supporters

Storing scout reports in a database should be a supporters feature

Same reason as before - just a comfort function

These stored scout reports will have a valid through date, until that point you can see them in a table. This valid through period is about 4 weeks (to keep my database in shape)

If you have a "valid" scout report, you see it on the player detail page, and the Draft overview - but not on playerlists of teams, the transfermarket list and so on

The scout report table adds no other function than displaying the valid scout reports - ALL of them! No search, filter, comparison an so on

Please:
10 stars if you like it
5 stars if you are undecided
1 star if you dislike it

Thank you

Feel free to discuss further

First off I'm a Supporter and plan to be so for the future.

But restricting who can use the batch scouting is a bad move. Scouting one by one is tedious and reflects very badly on the game. Non supporters are possible future supporters. Non supporters who don't fancy the tedium of one by one scouting and quit the game are not future supporters.

The viewing in a table I can understand as I guess it would impact on database burdens and so on so it makes sense to restrict that to people who financially support the game.

I don't understand the thing with storing scout reports. Do you want to delete all scout reports in your mailbox after 4 weeks or will there be an additional feature?

My definition of the supporter: add to the gameplay, make it more comfortable, but don't give ingame advantages to supporters.

A nonsupporter can achieve all these things, buzt he has simply more work to do. A supporter gets this small addition, and can safe some time - but he can't achieve more than a non supporter.

Based on this definition the suggestion is a supporter feature.

@Buffalo: we don't touch the scout reports in the mailbox, only the scoutreports on the new Scout table.

I think he wants to know, if this new table can be downloaded as a CSV, so it can be analized in Excel.
