I vote no.

I voted no because I don't see how this makes any difference, so why do the work.

Current engine selects players from the depth chart according to the current rules. All players know the way the depth chart fills out the plays. To switch the defense from L to R (or is it R to L) will only force players (like my self) to go and change their defensive depth charts. It will not impact the game because as Pete said, the players will still line up according to position. So - the defensive end you had to play LDE, will still play LDE, as long as you adjust your defensive depth chart.

So - that's why I voted no. I do not want to have to go adjust my depth chart.

OH - if you do decide to make the change, it wont be that big of a deal to me, I'll just adjust my DC.

There is a reason why it must be changed...

Read the thread on the dark-wing offense and then put 2 and 2 together.....

This is the correction to the 'exploit' I suggested to Pete a while ago.

Another thing to keep in mind: new managers have no idea about the game. At the moment it is too complicated for most of them, hence probably the reason why we haven't crossed the 600 player mark by now. We "old guys" have it easier to get used to the new features, since we already know most of them, and the new stuff get added one at a time. But a new manager starts from scratch, and should learn everything all at once.

So changing the pick order will get rid of at least one part of the game that is confusing, plus it counters the darkwing exploit to some degree. Two birds with one stone.

Also, and I might be wrong here, do substitutions mess with the DC pick order? What I mean is this:
Right now to face the strongest players of the offense, the defense DC should be all backwards, like:
- DE player A -> 2nd best DE player being DEL to face the 2nd best OT pick being OTR
- DE player B -> BEST DE player being DER to face the BEST OT pick being OTL
- DE player C -> sub
- DE player D -> sub
So once player A gets tired and the substitution stars, would player B bemoved up to DEL since he is higher up the DC and player C will sub in for DER?
This is what I meant by subs messing with the current pick order (if you try to counter the strong side of the OLine like above). Is this true or once the engine picks the 1st DER (player B), player C will sub in for A?

I think in the same way for newbies. When you start the game you s e l e c t your best player first in the DC for offense and defense.

So as a newbie you think your best defense player for example the best CB plays against the best WR of your opponent. But that is false. If you pick in the logical way your best CB on the first position in the depth chart will play against the second one WR of your opponent DC at the current system.

I think this is more confusing new users. Because if you want to play best defense against best offense player you must s e l e c t you defense player as the second one.

With the change of the pick order in the defense DC ot will be clear for newbies put your best on the first position so he will play against the first position of your opponents offense DC.

there are a few words like that - I believe the forum sees them as programming terms if not spaced.

I vote no. Passing game needs to be opened up in this game. It is the only part I find extraordinarily bad in this game. Everything else is fine. Is there anyway that you can find a way to make the Passing Game more realistic?

A change of the picking order would help new managers. For me I will change nothing, because I made the order of my DC with the pick order in my mind.
