My latest suggestion is to remove the bot flush and replace it with the top teams in division 2 replace the bots in division 1 irrespective. The top teams should test themselves against the top teams.

First from my understanding the bot flush send all the bot teams down to lowest level possaible. While also bumping teams from the lower levels to replace the bots.

I think it a good thing to get as many people in the higher legues as possable.

P.S. There is a option to not in the bot flush.
Meaning your team would only move up if your team is the top from a lower divison.

I do not have bot flush active beacause I want to delevlp my team and earn my way up

That's my point. If there are 12 bots in your top division and you make the playoffs then you have earned that right to be promoted.

If for example the top 2 get promoted and those that play promotion relegation matches purposely lose then which means they diont go up then the 13th and 19th best sides in the league take their place is that not devaluating the league. Get the top teams to the top division as quickly as possible.

I used to play football (soccer) a lot. A side I played for I was the only person who wasn't an ex pro so we was pretty good. We joined the league late the first season (replaced a folded team) so only played half the games but we didnt lose a game and won the main cup. They didnt waste the time of the other teams or ourselves and put us straight into the top league the next season.

Their opinion was that why put us in a division everyone knew we was going to win easily. They would have to replace more lower level teams who had nothing to win than the odd one or two who might leave because we got promoted in their place.

PS we won the top division the next season without dropping a point lol

But if you do away with the flush even if two a year would get advance. It still would not help fill up the leagues with non bots.

As you may have one bot in one league and 6 in other.

With the bot flush it does not only promote teams with good overall record to the next level it can change them from one division to other.

From the expirience on another online Football manager I can say that a bot flush is a nice thing.

Without it only a few promote, which means that for some managers it takes seasons to promote to a league with lots of human managers.

You can switch off the bot flush for yourself, do as you like.

From the expirience here I can say that it is not always helpfull to promote after the first season, since you get your butt handed to you in the next one, but on the other hand you don't have to play 10-15 BOT league games in the season.

Maybe this is actually quite a good idea ...i.e. keep bot flush, but remove the OPTION to opt-out of bot flush ...then the best teams from 2.1/2.2 will promote.
Here is why I say this ........

I just recently noticed one team ( I won't name it) that lost last season's promotion/relegation game heavily. To a Bot team (i.e. intentionally lost).
This season the team was still in a 2.x league, had a 15-1 league record, a 13-2 supercup record, but eventually lost in the promotion/relegation match (again).....against a Bot ...AGAIN.

This is obviously a case of a team that wants to stay forever in 2.1/2.2.
Why would you want to do that ? I can't explain it. But as things stand, this team could do the same forever, i.e. have a good season then deliberately not promote ...it's not against the rules, but in my opinion it just seems absolutely wrong.

Losing on purpose is a decision of the manager, I wouldn't like to limit that. You can do that in RL too - without any penalty except some boooohs from the crowd

I agree but there should be a bigger difference in attendances in lower leagues so you'll have a reason why to get a promotion. So maybe max attendances of 60-70k? But okay, that's a complete different story and hence OT in this thread
