Today we changed the mode of putting Free Agents - Players without a team - on the Transfer Market.

The first change is just about the numbers of Free Agents looking for a new team. We raised that number.

The second, more important change is about the quality of the Free Agents. We will send some "gold" to the Transfer Market each morning. These Free Agents might have high Physicals, or good traits or other nice skill-combinations. There are only a few each day.

We expect to see more cash changing hands, and we expect the pricing to get a little bit lower, since there is more quality available. This should help especially newer managers, since they might be able catch the veterans by having a serious chance to buy these Free Agents for low money.

IMO the worst decision ever made, the rich guys will buy those guys (50 str/50 Speed) and will benefit for many season of their performance, the new guys will have no chance of selling draftes for building stadiums for big amount anymore.

I will watch this development closely the TM is the one thing that after the MOTY thing is more or less solved drives me crazy...

I agree with Tarjan, I don't like this "improvement". Why? You just flooded the market with top players - monsters, if you recall that thread. The new guys will get their piece when the rich teams are done with feasting and out of liquidity, by then you've only made the gap bigger.

What I also believe this has done is change how we perceive top players. Until now there were not many players like this and they were extremely valuable and every manager's dream was to have a few players like these. That is going to change if there are 5 players like this on the market everyday.

Wow. Talk about spilling oil on the fire. Forum outrage in 3...2...1...

Well short term anyway.

May I ask if the change is about 1 "gold" player per day, why the TM got flooded by 10 or so free agents with STR/SPD 47+?
And here I thought these type of players should be more rare than hosh making a great suggestion loved by all.
And why only LBs and DLs?

Don't confuse 'rare' and 'impossible'

Have to agree, it's an insane way to try and fix things.
It devalues every draft/good player that current teams have saved and fought for, and also adds a crazy get "even richer quick" scheme to those players with hundreds of millions of credits and can log on 24/7. If they have any sense they'll scoop up the "low bid, bad hours" players and put them back up for sale in prime time.
I thought Pete was all about long thought and careful introductions of new features. This one is reckless in the extreme.

Hmmm, have to say, that as a new member on here and currently trying to build my lowly Div 3 team up, to try and compete, and with minimum funds available (sub $1mill), I feel that this is just making it even harder for us small fish to try and get a foothold on those Superstars, or even half decent players, as all this seems to have done is to give those $billion teams even more Superstars to add to their teams.

There's no way us lowly teams can compete with the virtually unlimited cash offers from these Mega teams, and this move seems to have done the exact opposite of what was probably intended.

The top teams get stronger and the weaker teams get even further away from any sort of parity.

Can't quite see the benefit behind this move. All it's done for me is Widen the already massive gap between my Div 3 team and those way above me.

Disappointing move, I feel.

I agree with both of you.
The newer teams have no chance to buy one of these players, unless already played a several of seasons. The bigger teams will buy a lot of those players, as long as their prices falling down. May have some money flows out of the game, but the gap will not decrease but will even grow.

Pete, deepest respect for your work so far, but I think it's a hasty and wrong decision.
