I think only Pete knows exactly if these players are retired or in FA-pool for a random market appearance.

If the player is within a certain age, and not under contract by a team, he is in the pool of possible free agents. we have millions of these guys. Some of them hit the market in a complete random order. This is the whole story, nothing more to tell

Try to find another QB as this one, you are not even sure to win the bid if someday he hits the TM. |
