I just got a player with this trait:

Quarterbacks are scared just by this player lining up across from them. Fearsome gives a 5% chance to cause the QB to feel hurry pressure when this player is blitzing, valid for DL, SF or LB

However there is no way to set DL to blitz in the playbook. Does that mean this trait is not active for a DL?

Since DEs are "always" pass rushing the QB...I admit, the word "blitzing" is a little bit confusing.

Would be great if you could clarify what DTs and the NT are doing on passing plays, in RL they also rush the passer once they have recognized pass, in RZA they never break through but maybe a fearsome DT has an impact on the QB?

Maybe you could replace "blitzing" by "rushing the QB" in the trait like you just did to explain this post? Not a big deal obviously but it might help reduce the confusion a little bit.

A QB needs high intelligence as I understand.
I have a QB in the youth academy with intelligence of less than 30.
Will this increase or should I change his position to one requiring less intelligence?

Intelligence doesn't change, so probably best to fit him in somwhere else

Unless I'm mistaking, INT is a value defined at the player's creation and can't be changed.
So I guess you will have to find a more suitable position for him.

Edit : Superpippo was quicker ^^

fearsome trait, is it valid for DT/NT in the same way as it is for DE?
