Hey, I just started playing earlier this week. I have a bunch of players with traits that are useless for their position including an FB with Sure Tackler, an OL with Track Star and a P with Stonewall. Should I swap their positions to match their traits or will their capped attributes match what their current positions. Their current attributes are pretty balanced so it looks like they could play anywhere at the moment.
Semi-related question, can I safely use my Kicker as my Punter also? He has the highest punting on the team but I have no one else to use as a kicker. |

I would not focus on traits solely here, but finding speed and strength caps first, and with that info combined with intelligence and TW, make decisions from there. It will be that your players switch position several times during the first few months. Would not worry about it. Also, focus on training position and vision while finding speed and strength caps. That's because every position could use them. For the time being, using your punter as a kicker is ideal since no one else has a great foot on your squad. |

Thanks for the quick reply. If thats the case then I think I'll swap them based on traits for now and if their capped speed and strength doesn't work out for that position I'll move them elsewhere. I've been focusing 90% on fitness training at the recommendation of a friend.
Also regarding the Kicker situation, I may have been irresponsible with my money and bid on a 4.5 star kicker so I actually do have a decent leg and which is also why I asked if I could use him as a Punter as well. |

Go into the forums and look for Jack's Guide in the Noob section. It's almost a bible to playing this game. LOTS of good info there.
The only addition I'd make is feel free to bid on the transfer market, but go after the guys starting at 10K. They're almost always better than your starting squad and teach you more about stats and how to view them. Of course, dump most of your money into building your stadium. That's your first cash cow. |

I have a few 20yo players in my youth academy. When do they turn 21 or how can I see when they turn 21 and what happens if they turn 21 while in the academy?
I ask because I thought I had players turning 20 during the season ie say I had 3 at season start and now I have 5. I think something like that happened but not sure. |

All players celebrate their birthday on the season rollover, which begins on that Sunday, following the Saturday on the last day of the season. It is wise to promote them before then, especially if you don't log in every day. If they(20-year-olds) are not promoted by the season rollover, they are cut from your team. I usually promote them one day after the league bowl, following that last training u p d a t e before the Supercup and champ of champ finals. |

Since nothing found in manual or forum, thought it could be helpful (or "funny") to share the following information/observation:
Successful field goal on first drive in overtime ends the game! LOL 100718269 Germans |

Do I need to worry about Physical Condition for YA players? I've looked around and didn't see any explicitly saying.

Not until you have found out what the Speed & Strength caps are and maybe even train Agility up to a level before worrying about Pc for YA players, the Pc goes up at season end so you are usually looking at 70-80% Pc when they turn 20 anyway so a season of 10% Pc training will get them there anyway |
