Guess

X(capped) + Trait > X(capped)

is also true for non-physicals?

just asking bc:

https://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=help&subpage=manual&topic=Play%20skill%20caps

"A player has caps on each of the play skills based on talent. The following table shows you the maximum possible skill at the different talent levels:"

- - -

An overall condensed clarification might be worth mentioning e.g. in the "Player traits" section of the manual:

https://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=help&subpage=manual&topic=Player%20traits

I know similar questions have been asked many times, but... For a 26 year old, intelligent QB, how much over the estimated wages (%) do you think you would need to go for a maximum length franchise contract signed at the very begining of the season?

I did sign a QB once at the beginning of the season for 5 seasons(max) with 175% over the estimate wage....if i remember well he didn`t accept 160%....

Cool, thanks dude

Hi guys,
I remember many seasons ago a pinned topic about the players consensus on which skill gets a training bonus based on the position. Meaning a WR would get more points at CAT than a QB, considering both have the same level of AC. I can not manage to find it anymore. Anyone would remember the name of the thread?

SPE=50 + Track Star = SPE 52.5 ...

I blindly trust you for sure Marinarul, just for curiosity, did you read it somewhere?

https://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=help&subpage=traits

"This player is a natural speedster. Track Star gives a 5% bonus to the speed attribute except for OL, DL, K and P."

50 + 5% = 52.5

Thanks both for your feedbacks.
So we can say basically that
- a 50 SPE + Track Star has an overall speed of 101.25% (52.5/2+75)
- a 48 SPE + Track Star has 100.2% so like a SPE 50
- a 40 SPE + Track Star has 96% (+1% of a SPE 40).

Not bad but since I started I have really over estimated this trait

Thanks again for the feedback.
Of course if you want to have the maximum benefit for your trait you have to train the affected attribute high.

We can think a non physical trait as a sort of bonus in wages if we suppose the trait affects at least one of the two attributes most highly trained.

Example Strong Arm: PAS+5% (STR+5%)
a QB PAS=48 VIS=50 + Strong Arm performs like a QB PASS=50 VIS=50 with a NO HR Dept. wage of 422K x turnover instead of 503K
Saving 503-423=80 x 24 1.92 M per season.
Not bad if I am not wrong!

While
Example Strong Arm + Natural Leader: PAS+5% (STR+5%) + VIS +5%
a QB PAS=48 VIS=48 + Strong Arm + Natural Leader performs like a QB PAS=50 VIS=50 with a NO HR Dept. wage of 355K x turnover instead of 503K
Saving 503-355=148 x 24 3.5 M per season.

Of course if you do not want a superstar QB PAS=50 VIS=50 + Strong Arm + Natural Leader

You can use the REA management Studio tool (in help section) but you need to use windows.

I try to ask….

What about traits like this

Special Traits
Long Reach: This player has an exceptional wingspan. The Long Reach ability gives a 5% higher chance to reach the ball on intercepting for CB, SF and LB

What does it means:
1) All the non physical skill attributes involved in the process of intercepting are rised of +5% during the calculation (new value of intercepting probability could be different than +5% and maybe +5% only in case of a full TAL 5 star developed player)
2) The probability of intercepting is calculated using the player physical skill attributes involved in the process like thay are an then +5% is added
3) punter doesn't need Long Reach attribute
