What is it with the 49'ers and the self-destruct button ? as if signing Randy Moss and Brandon Jacobs isn't bad enough, there is now talk of Terrell Owens going back to the 49'ers ...hopefully this is mostly talk by TO and not from the club....the 49'ers have enough has-beens already !

An amusing quote from the Bleacher report .......

"With Randy Moss, the only concerns were whether or not he would be giving full effort. Owens has had surgery within the last year to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and is also notorious for being a disruption with his history of character defects.

Moss is less of a risk and more of a reward than Owens if he pans out.

And while Owens may have left with bad blood between him and the franchise, coach Jim Harbaugh doesn't have anything against him. However, the 49ers are now loaded at wide receiver and have enough talent that's younger, healthier and more explosive."

lol ... so where is the talent at WR ?

Moss - - -> Has-been & Trouble
Manningham - - - - -> Inconsistent, frustrating. Is he really a good WR or is he Crabtree's twin brother !

and how could I forget ......Crabtree !!! - - - - - - > ROTFL , Crabtree makes me laugh...he's just got "flop" written all over him, Great hands though because Harbaurgh said so !

p.s. the 49'ers have hit the self-destruct button so often just recently that they're now starting to look like the Raiders

You guys were a gnats prick away from the big dance last year and i think are the ONLY team in the NFL who are almost a gimme to get into the play offs as divisional winners, with a first round bye (again) likely. That in itself puts the Niners in the top tier of favoured teams from a betting perspective....the WR corps is a step forward from what it was, even if its not as good as is made out, you still have an fine rushing attack - its all about Alex to me....if he believes he deserves to be the QB of a potential SB winning team then i dont think Vernon is far wrong myself!

Vernon Davis with a great quote .... "I will be the best tight end to ever play this game. I have a vision"

lol .... he's not even the best TE in the NFC , not when Jimmy Graham is in the same Conference as him.

just keeping everyone up-to-date with happenings in the weird and wonderful world of Michael Crabtree ..........

this is what nfl.com have to say about my main man Mikey babey :-

As expected, Crabtree remained listed as one of the starting wide receivers when the 49ers released their most up-to-date depth chart, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis: It has actually been the one constant throughout the preseason with regard to the Niners wide receivers. After beefing up the receiving corps with the addition of Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and A.J. Jenkins to a crew that already had Crabtree and Tedd Ginn, coach Jim Harbaugh said that any two of the five could be starting. But Crabtree has started each of the preseason games in which he's played and has always been listed as the number one receiver on all of the depth charts released. With others now in place to draw coverage away, this could be a breakout season for the fourth-year receiver.
