I swear you are just baiting me. I'm not sure what the hell type of niner fan you are to have such a negative outlook on their prospects. I mean, with a banged up wr group last season they were a play away from going to the superbowl. I'm sorry, but NE doesn't impress me and I think the Niners would have had just as much of a chance as the Giants did in beating the Patriots.
They have upgraded the wr group. Picked up a few players to spell Gore to make it so he can actually last the season. Return all 11 starters from the dominating defense a year ago. With more weapons Smith should have some better numbers. So despite being a play away from the superbowl and possible win and upgrading an area of weakness you doubt they can make a run? Really? Add in that they now have a whole offseason to get work in... The cons for them is that maintaining the Turnover ratio will be extremely unlikely. BTW, the WR group... Compare last season to this season. Morgan was hurt so the wr's were in order 2011 (2012) Crabtree 72 rec 874 yards Crabtree Davis 67 rec 792 Davis Williams 20 rec 241 Moss Ginn 19 rec 220 yards Manningham Morgan 15 rec. 220 yards Williams Ginn? So it is apparent that the wr group is improved. At worst your previous #3 is now the #5. |

Hmmm, looks like you're still on the waiting list for your 'sense of humour' implant .......... let me know how the operation goes ...... don't schedule it for a Sunday though, you might just miss one of those very memorable occasions, a Michael Crabtree catch |

lol, pretty cool to see.
BTW, Crabtree is 5 rec (7 targets but at least one miss was sideline at half for chance to get closer for fg) 53 yards. He is the leading receiver for both teams at the half. Will that pace maintain? I don't know. |

Crabtree clutch again....lol.
6 catches for 60 something yards. I think he had stats close to megatrons. He does sound a little like Micheal Jackson with that voice though. haha |

good show by Crabtree. And the D were rocking again. The niners are early season favorites for me!

Solid performance by the 49'ers.
The Defense were above average, both the D-Line and the LB's. The CB's/Safeties were good apart from one or two stupid mistakes. David Akers is top notch. But .... The Offense .... Vernon Davis is a real asset (unlike Crabtree who is a real asshole ...JOKE ! ). Frank Gore was on good form and looking younger than ever . but the WR's weren't involved too much, they're only on the field for the distraction value ..... credit to Mikeeeee Crabtreeeeeeee though, he caught a couple of difficult balls and looked sharper than usual. The Big Worry ??? ......... The 49'ers look like a Team that are built to defend a lead. I fear for the Niners if they're behind in the game and they need to score quickly. |
