It would be nice to have the option to sign the Transfermarketguys to eighter the seniorteam or the ya.
Reason: if i buy for example an 20 years old guy that i need in my Seniorsteam (and by him because of that) he will go first to the ya after that i got to promot him wich always costs me 1 of my 6 moves to do so. So i got the "problem" to have always 22 guys in my YA if i want to by a young guy to my first Team, by doing so the Youthpull is always an Problem cause i got to fire one YA-Player firstto have the possibility to pick a new one up. |

Sounds like a great idea to me. I've got three transfers in my YA I'd like to have put staight into my starting lineup.

Makes sense to me, you shouldnt be needing to make sure you have your academy full of youngsters just so you can sign that talented player you just bought to the Senior team. If im correct there is now a small fee teams pay when theres no room in the academy for the young players who are aquired via TM, maybe by adding this option of (Send Player X to Senior Team Y/N) there should be a higher fee then what is already in place if you s e l e c t him to enter your senior team str8 without passing to the Academy.

Same goes if you have already used up your promotions from YA to senior team, in that case you cant buy a player younger than 21 as you will loose him at season end. |

I don't think this is as straightforward as some of the previous comments have implied.
Currently, you can't pull/buy 16/17 year olds directly into the Seniors under any circumstances, and you also can only buy 18-20 yr olds directly into the Seniors under certain circumstances (e.g. YA full) ....... I'm reasonably sure it isn't like this by accident i.e. when creating the whole YA concept, I think Pete will have thought this through carefully and there are probably good reasons that the YA transfer/pull rules exist in their current form. I would like to stick with it. Much more I thought about sending all youngsters through the academy, no matter if it is full or not.

What about allowing some 18-20 year olds that are currently in the senior squad to be moved to the youth academy?
That way, if a player does go into the senior squad by mistake (or because of a full academy) you can clear a space in your youth academy and move the player down. You could limit the number of Senior -> Youth moves to the same number as the Youth -> Senior moves. (based on your academy level) When I inherited my squad, I found 4-5 players that I would have liked to move down to the academy straight away. |
