im sure some of these have already been raised, mentioned or being considered - you may even be able to already do them, but i havent loacted them yet - but just in case they havent, or for the newer managers around.....:

1) Clock Management - Any possibility of calling a time out, calling a hurry up/no huddle offense, grounding the ball to stop the clock or taking a knee to run the clock out?

2) Fake Punts/FGs - the ability to call, in certain situations, a fake FG/Punt, being able to call a run or pass play from the FG/Punt lineup, which would be able to give more attention to the individual stats/ratings of the Punter/Kicker who, the better attributes they have in these areas (passing, carrying etc) the better chance of the play succeeding

3) 2 point conversion - instead of an auto PAT, trying a two point conversion, calling a specific play?

4) Onside Kicks

5) Audibles - Change the play at scrimmage to try and confuse the Defence, or react to their line up - again, the better the QB INT, VIS etc, the better the chance of the change of play succeeding.

Again, sorry if these are either already available to do, have been discussed or on the 'to do' list - just musing whilst having a coffee and re-reading my recent game reports!

I know we need that, but have general questions...(I had them already, even before you posted, and found no answer so far)

How to control feature X. For TPC the playbook, this is easy. But Clock-Management as Example can be a nightmare. Onsidekicks are simple to control too, again the playbook...

Fake punts are more special. How to calculate the downsides and some more...

I think a 2-point-conversion could be very usefull. It should be possible only in special situations.

(all scores before the PAT)
behind by 16 (reduce the difference to 2 TDs)
behind by 12 (reduce the difference to FG+TD
behind by 9 (reduce difference to 1 TD)
behind by 5 (reduce difference to FG)
leading by 1 (increase difference to FG)
leading by 5 (increase difference to 1 TD)
leading by 8 (increase difference to 1 TD + FG)
leading by 12 (increase difference to 2 TDs)

You would have these options and you can s e l e c t for all situations: PAT or 2-pt-Conv., time on the clock (allways, 4 min left, 2 min left, 1 min left), Quarter (allways, 1,2,3,4).

The reason to reduce it to these situation, that you can't play allways the 2 pt. conversion against weak opponents to increase the PD.

I think you could do clock management in the playbook too.

Have a section for Clock Management. You can do tempo with options for quarter, time left, and score. As well as options for taking time outs. Time out on Defense? Time out when there is less than 2 minutes? Etc.

Fast/High tempo would be like a hurry-up offense (or how the Univeristy of Oregon runs every play). Players try to get out of bounds if possible after gaining as much yardage as they can. This could take 5-10 seconds per play. If they don't get out of bounds, then the play would take ~20 seconds. When a team is running fast tempo, then neither team would be able to substitute unless the ball goes out of bounds. The major drawback of running this type of offense all game long could be that it drains in-game PC very quickly and you could even make the overall PC hit much higher based on number of fast/high tempo plays called during a game.

Regular tempo would be like it is now.

Slow tempo would be for running the clock out when you are ahead. Each play takes 35-38 seconds and the in-game PC drain is smaller.

Then your playbook check would be Clock Management first then Playbook. If CM is set to Fast/High and the clock is running and no timeouts are available or requested then no substitutions on either side and check the playbook. If CM is set to Fast/High and the clock is not running then free substitutions based on play requested on Offense & Defense.

We would need a discussion on how the out of position penalties would react to Fast/High tempo. Since they don't have substitutions, do they just keep playing the same formation or do they line up with whatever formation is called for in the playbook? For example, I have a Shotgun 4WR play called and it successfully gains yards against a Dime defense. My next play based on my playbook calls for a Big I formation and the defense may be calling a 4-4-3 in the same situation. Would the 2 slot WR become TE and the other outside WR become the RB? On Defense, would the slot CB become OLB and the FS move to MLB? Seems like a lot of out of position penalties there.

Cool. I was actually wondering what your comments were on my thoughts regarding how to implement Clock Management.
