I think the best system would be:

-only 2 groups with teams from league 1
-all Conference winners
-8 AC teams in one group and the 8 NC teams in the other group
-7 groupgames and the winners of both groups play in the COC Bowl

pro: This is the Cup for the best teams from each league to determine the best team at RZA

contra: some teams have more games and more income. I could live with lower income it is far from reality, but this cup should be played for honor.

you name it, it should be about honor...therefore skip the stadium income at all.
Itis really kind of unfair to give the best teams even more and more money...or to be frankly: it is insane!

In principle .... yes. But ...

The C of C games are played on Friday, if you weren't playing C-of-C, you'd probably play a Friday Friendly and get approx $600K - $650K (each) for the ticket money.
Therefore, to keep things equal ...it would make sense to have at least $600k ticket income (each).

Solution: Limit the CoC Games to 50.000 Visitors.

My 2 cents; All the conference finalists participate, which means 4 teams per league = 32 teams, who KO until we get the two best team and consequently the champion of champs.
About the income. How about the participants don't get money, but credits? Is this possible Pete? Like 3 credits to those, that get eliminated and 5 to those who qualify for the next round each round. While the final would be 10&20 credits. After all the CoC is not about money but about the prestige and right to brag.

I am very much in favour of this idea even though I think I qualify for next seasons CoC having won my 2.2 division.

Maybe keep it open to all league 2 sides but they play in their own competition a bit like the UEFA Europa League but have a 2.1 and 2.2 competition so they play the same number of games as the 1.1 participants.

Each league 1 side gets $1m per game as they should get a bit more than a friendly would generate. Then the percentages of income drops down per league $850k to league 2 sides etc to the minimum of $650k for league 3 sides when there is one.

Ok a side may purposely get relegated for more trophies etc but where is the prestige in winning the 2.1 or 2.2.CoC Cup and getting relegated the following season?

You must win your conference to qualify for CoC.

My own opinion is that the teams that were 2.X teams when they qualified for CoC are in one league.

The teams that were in 1.1 in another league.

The champ from each league play each other.

id had that cleared up for me as i clicked send. I never thought id win my division for a few seasons so I never looked it up before.

It appears we all have slight variations of the same idea here its just if it can be implemented now

There are some good ideas here. I'm impressed by the sincerity and honesty of some of our senior members (jack6, Buffalo, JonnyP, notsch,...).

They are saying the CoC Cup is rewarding too much money dished out to the Top Teams. Extra money translates to extra Transfers and Wages. It will become increasingly difficult to catch up with the Top Teams.

I think there is impressive evidence for that. Check out the CoC Cup and Supercup Quarterfinals. It's the same teams, year in, your out.

Therefore some of you would recommend a cut in gate receipt, in terms of income about equal to a friendly match. I think that sounds like a great idea. I will forward this to suggestions.

In terms of organization of CoC Cup mode there is a few different ideas here.

Saying that, it appears most managers do favor Buffalo's idea of a TRUE CoC Cup, only involving Conference Champions of Div.I, and playing 2 groups of 8 teams. Group winners playing the Finale.

Personally, I think that's an awesome idea. It would differentiate the CoC Cup from the Supercup, and would make it a true and intimate stage for all RZA Champions.

I shall also forward this to suggestions. If anyone is still interested, please feel welcome to discuss it further in Forums/Suggestions.

edit: typo
