Season is 9 weeks, post season 5.

So why not have a best of the rest comp?

2 days per week (between trainings)
Supercup revenue and flipable home team (or maybe just $1M each?)
All human teams in 1 pool, random draw, 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw.
As playoff teams drop out and are no longer in either SC or League playoffs, they can join in also.

Less boredom and more fair financially this way.

Can't see what is wrong in winning extra money when having a bowl...

I figure any team not in either playoff series can make about $2M/week.

A team in both playoffs can make about $5M/game * 4 for about $20M/week.

And that's for about 3 weeks.

That's a lot of money.

And boredom.

In RL the season is 17 weeks long, offseason (including post & pre-season) is 35 weeks long.

This is NOT RL. The longer users have to wait, the more the odds they will leave. Aldo i understand the need to have some off season to work on implementing stuff, and fix bugs testing etc, having something to do while your team isnt on the playoffs would be a nice addition, maybe setup the game with random scrimmages among teams who didnt made the postseason. Could either be something automaticaly setup or allow owners to send out scrimmages invitations of some sort.

+1 to the OP BTW.

For teams that are not in either of the playoffs, the time between the end of the regular season and the season roll-over is a long time. I can definitely see how some people may get bored during this time. That is why there was suggested expanding the Supercup playoffs to have a 2nd and even 3rd tier of games.

There is always prep for the draft. Re evaluate your team. Scour the transfer market.

You could also eat dinner, go for a walk, get some sleep, read a book. lol

or...use it as motivation to stay, improve your team and get in the playoffs.

Hmmm, I don't quite get this ..... the title of this thread is "post-season too long" , however .... there isn't any suggestion here to shorten the post-season, just a suggestion for a competition during the post-season.

But you can already play 3 games per week during the post-season (Tues,Fri,Sat Friendlies).

So is this about the post-season being too long or should the thread title be changed to "semi-competitive games for extra revenue during post-season" ?

Your seeing this from a Veteran player prespective, a N00b player wont see it like that.
