Thanks for your support, notsch. Your opinion is weighting heavily, since you would be one of the managers affected by changes.

Let's see what Pete says.

How about flush CofC and have a non official off season comp for all not in the post seasons and those that drop out of it as it progresses?

Half supercup rate for tickets and $100k to winners? Maybe even a game to game scheduler that works to even out revenue as much as possible for this period. If either player fails to set game orders then they don't get paid (I think it should always be that way actually).

Personally I don't want any off seasons camp or something. Don't make PO's, grab few friendlies and that's it for me

As long as you return to this thread in the future, it's all good. Otherwise, if you do not like the ideas, please join into the discussion (at some point) and tell us why it should not be changed.

I was told 3 seasons ago that it will only take me one season to catch up to senior managers. Three seasons later there is the same old teams in SuperCup and CoC Cup (final 16). Rewarding the established teams a constant flush of extra cash, year in your out, won't hardly change anything. Possibly my inability to catch up has to do with bad managerial skills, but I think I do what I can.

Look at Turtles' spending of $340Mio on the TM. How are lesser teams ever gonna catch up with that?

lol ... it's not how much you spend or how much you can afford to spend, it's what you get with the money you spend and what you do with the player(s) that counts.

Not all of the best teams are big-spenders on the TM. I can probably find you one or two examples of really good teams that don't spend hugely on the TM.

The way I see it, it will only get tougher for new teams to catch up. Some of the established and older teams will soon have 4 seasons under their belt spent on developing their roster with or without influx from the TM.
The danger of an "inner circle" is quite obvious.

One counterargument to the spending spree and the sometimes absurd transfer prices, that always comes up, is, that the TM will eventually settle down to more reasonable prices.
I don't think it will ever happen. With lots of money floating around, managers will easily overpay for a player on the TM, because it doesn't hurt them financially, and so they will always try to improve their team.

What will happen is:

The old teams from season 1 will get into financial trouble in 2-3 seasons because of player wages. There is a limit in making money in this game.

THEN they can't spend lot's of money on the TM, only newer teams.

THEN younger teams can catch up.

By the way, I never bought a player for more than 100.000$ and look at Peters team, which never did bought anyone.

But of course we are fortune to be members of the starter group and we know quite good, how that game works.

True, there's a limit to money-making, but I think, we've quite some good way to go, without doing the math, until teams like yours or mine will have their first cap casualties.

This season I had my share in driving some prices through the roof (just last night I bought a draft-worthy LB for 150mio)
But the majority of my players are from the founding days of the team.

And quality of this kind is bought with time. You can't catch up with time, no matter how much money you spent.
For all my german fellows: Das waren jetzt mal 50 cent für's Phrasenschwein.
