There is no missed block by the TE or FB. they only reduce the speed of the blitzing DE/LB/SF. you can´t compare the blocks of the OL with blocks of FB and TE (at the moment) So if the FB/TE is listed as blocking and is credited with a good block, then he's slowed down a rushing DE/LB/SF. If not, he basically didn't do anything, right? Steve SD Blitz |

Probably. Much like the OC when there's no NT in the defense...

It still begs the question of why there is no missed blocks. The C vs 4-3 has nothing at all - no good or missed blocks.
Maybe it has a lot to do with the FBs vision/Int/speed/agility and he either gets in someone's way successfully or not at all i.e. he misses completely by not even attemting a block since he's not in position, or he is in position to make a block and then always does. |

I read it anywhere in the forum. I don´t remember where. But yes FB only in Pass games and TE only in rush games block only when a DE/LB or SF breaks through. In other cases they do nothing. OL blocks only if there is a NT because of the one on one system.
You can see something similar in the defense in rush games. The LBs only tackle when the rusher breaks through the D-Line. And the rusher makes allways between 4 and 9 yards. The LBs never tackle at the LoS. |
