lol.... that guy is easily the most overrated guy in the NFL ... I dont care that he's doing the samething in Denver because what he was doing with the Patriots was hacky... He's the fourth option.
And any Wr the patriots use in that welker mode be it Amendola/Edelman is overrated too. I just noticed in the original qoute I said in all sport.. not just the NFL I was right at first... all sport.. most overrated player in all sport. Last edited on 2013-09-26 03:31:15 by Swordpriest1 |

After this I'm done I swear.... He's basically a running back who doesnt run the ball. He can't catch a pass more than 15yrs down the field.. he can't catch a jump ball over a defender to save his life... He can't block a soul... He can't outrun the defense. I mean he's excellent at those shallow routes that go underneath linebackers but talk about him on anything else and he'd be out the league.
a list of all the WRs there is no debate who are better (all around) than Welker.. C.Johnson Demariyus Thomas Julio Jones Roddy White Desean Jackson AJ Green Brandon Marshall Vincent Jackson Reggie Wayne Marques Colston Larry Fitzgerald Steve Smith Michael Crabree Victory Cruz Hakeem Nicks Josh Gordon Eric Decker Dwayne Bowe Ty Hilton Santonio Holmes Andre Johnson Greg Jennings Percy Harvin Antonio Brown Mike Wallace Stevie Johnson I'd list more than that but the others are either too young or way past their primes so there is a decent debate on which is the WR overall player. |

Welker is the best slot receiver in NFL imo. Is he the best wide receiver overall or not is not important, because Broncos use him only as slot receiver.

I'd agree with you if we were talking about Hotels .... Hilton isn't too bad

T.Y. Hilton is a phenomenal receiver though... Wr is one of those positions I just dont understand how talent is developed. So many of them either slip through the cracks or just fall into the right place that it seems almost random which ones make it or not. Being a scout must be hard as hell..
As for Welker being the best "slot" receiver in the game.. thats like saying Shane Vareen is the best 3rd down back in the NFL. That only means so much. I'm not saying he's not a fine player because he is but what he does shouldnt be compared to what other WRs are asked to do or what they can do is all I'm saying. |
