Why do we not simply have all the 1.1 bowl winners go into a round of 8, then round of 4 and finally the megabowl or whatever - all in the one season? So you have all the bowl games from all divisions on the same day as relegations (can't see why not).
The megabowl then takes place on the same tuesday as the league season rollover is now scheduled. I suppose the league rollover can go back a day along with training and draft that could both also move 1 day back.
I imagine this has been suggested b4 so what's the go? 
It is an anticlimax to not decide the overall champion in the same season. I even hate the 2 week break for the NFL's Superbowl! It breaks the rythem of the whole thing. I think a lot of people possibly resent needing to stick around for another entire season in order to participate in CofC if they're a Bowl Winner. |

it is not the way it was implemented...and according to pete it is not the way he wants it to be.
end of the story if you ask me, i like the coc to be in the upcoming season like it is now... |

Are you talking about have a playoff for the MegaBowl after the league playoffs or the following year?

The whole thing in the same season. If you go thru the top post you'll get the idea - pretty straight forward. You only need 3 games after the superbowls.
I just wonder why it's the way it is instead of like this. |

I think that's kind of the way it works in the champions league in Europe. Top teams from previous season compete in the champions league the following seasons.
Additionally, there is a Super Cup which essentially runs over just one season. Those would be my guesses. Steve SD Blitz |

I've been in the CofC and out of it. I like it as it is now, though, because it doesn't extend the competitive part of the season as deep into the off-season. I know many don't like the off-season at all, but I enjoy having some 'down-time' to focus on sorting my roster for the next season, setting up my training plan, reviewing the playbook, and resorting the draft an infinite number of times. |
