I know that Admin as well as community wouldn't approve this option without any restrictions because it will open the door for cheaters, but here is my idea:
There is a lot of good players wasted somewhere in database, so every team could have an option to sign one free agent(it also exist in NFL that undrafted players can negotiate contracts with any team which would like to hire them) directly to the team. For the teams not using contract mode this player would have just the basic salary.
This is the way to save players drafted by BOT teams or playing in top teams which left the game(like NY Bulldogs) from falling into oblivion(it's word I've found in dictionary to tell it better, sorry for possible wrong using this one).
Free agents would be able to appear on transfer market as it is today, of course, but they wouldn't count as this one extra free agent per team.

Right now they won't approve a trading block so what where you thinking?

Either way it a different idea but one I don't see possible So try again my friend.

But I think maybe let new team giving chance to s e l e c t a few stars to there team. Because they pc rosters are the worst of the worst. I mean when ever man on the TM is better than any thing that PC teams have giving them that much father to have to clime out of the pit.

It's not similar to trading block.
It would work like that - you find player somewhere in database and offer him a contract(or sign him with salary based on his current skills if not using contract mode).

Well, cheating with this won't be really possible, when you can take only one guy in one season.

A very original idea.... nice to see that there are free-thinking managers out there.
But at the moment, there isn't (yet) enough detail for it to be a suggestion.
However .... a few questions :-

What would the mechanism be for deciding which team could sign which free agent ?? ... e.g. imagine that you see Free Agent A and want to sign him, but I also see him and want to sign him .... who gets him ??

Also .... how would you see which players are in the database ? I can't think of a way at present (maybe there is a way), or would Admin have to build a search facility for searching the player database.

Would there be some sort of 'start date/end date' for signing this one free agent ... e.g. a 'free agent signing window' that, for example, started on the first day of the new season and ended one week before season rollover ?
If there was a 'window' or 'start date', what would prevent a mass scramble of teams all trying to sign the very best free agents at the same time ??

The faster, the better. There is a big chance to find other at the same level. I don't see any other solution for this.

It's already possible to find such a players. You can find them by looking at BOT turned big teams(like NY Bulldogs for example) or you can follow which draft players gone to BOT team and then take one of them. Surely there is some way to find, because player id number is visible.

I think all the season - as for prolonging contracts with the current roster. But this one Admin would have to decide if he approved the suggestion, of course. I cannot be sure, but about 5 seasons from now, best teams(with highest salaries) would propably have to think it through 5 times if they can sign other strong player or better save this money for paying for full coaching staff or simply for a "rainy day".
