which version did you see?

2D
3D
3D with 48 pics per sec

And what was your impression about that, if you saw one of the 3D versions?

I had 3d "standard"...I read so many worse things about this HFR, so we decided not to join it.

The 3d itself was most of the time really spectacular. I had to "cover" around 30 times behind the seat in front of me, because one of the dwarfs was throwing something into my direction, which was not a football.

However, I read they need HFR for the sharpness, and I can confirm that I missed some details in the scenery...sometimes...and I was surprised how good 3d was working on the CGI images...(no, I did not watch Avatar)

OK, I now watched the film in 3D with 48 pics per sec.

First of all I have to admit I found the film itself at some points quit slow in pace. I often thought that a scene looked artifically spread in length with no real point for the story.

Second, the 3D was fine for me, but did not really brought me to the point where I would say, 3D or nothing.
I'm not sure if we will see the second and third part in 3D.

Third, the 48 pics per seconds. I have nothing to compare it, I would have to view the film again in normal picture rate to really point out the difference. Ad some points I had the feeling I was watching a set, not a move, because of the sharpness and the 3D effect.

After all I enjoyed the film and I'm looking foreward for the next one.

Is this a pro or con in your opinion?

I really can't say.
Sometimes I thought "cool" and sometimes "Uh?".
Maybe it is "getting used" to it, since this is new, but I have to admit I did not see it as "the big new feature which does change everything".
I think I could have easily enjoyed the film without 3d and the 48 pics per second.

Sorry, I can't say, if this 48 pics per second did really help.
Some scenes looked to real, like slow motion, because you can see tiny drops falling from a well, instead a blur of water. Thinks like that.
