As now experience of player reflects his overall experience, so QB with 3 exp. can be LB with 3 exp. It's not realistic IMO.

Yes, QB and LB have different sets of skills (though STR, SPE, AGI, VIS is useful for both). What about LB and CB? LB and SF?

My suggestion: experience on position would be more accurate and realistic. So every player would gain experience on position he's assigned to (in roster, not in depth chart).

If a player plays out of position his experience would be as follows (just approximate numbers):

QB - on all other positions - 0 %.

RB - on FB - 75 %, WR - 50 %, TE - 50 %, KR - 75 %, other positions - 0 %.

FB - on RB - 75 %, TE - 75 %, WR - 25 %, KR - 50 %, other positions - 0 %.

TE - on FB - 75 %, RB - 50 %, WR - 75 %, OL - 50 %, KR - 50 %, other positions - 0 %.

etc.

Sounds uncannily like G*I BPOS to me ....... and that's probably one of the worst aspects of G*I.

You mean its worse than the slow running speed, poor graphics, poor gameplay, crippling finances and dark wing formation where the results are decided by how many plays you can get into an hour.

I mean that of the many many wonderful, inventive, addictive and highly realistic features of that truly fantastic game ..... BPOS isn't quite one of them

I was thinking that that was one of the few strengths of TOG.

What's proposed is similar but not identical. There is some overlap between like positions which is very sensible. A generic, position wide "experience" is a little too simple imo.

The penalties for a position change of a highly experienced player should be more severe than present.

Player 'Experience' in this game is OK as it is ..... it gives a certain scope for manager creativity ...which is no bad thing in my opinion.

If you want to 'fix' something that doesn't work and never will .... I can point you in the direction of MOTY

Not only do I like moty, I think it should be allowed anytime except friendlies, including playoffs.
