"certain scope for manager creativity" is a good thing. But when LB can play CB, SF and maybe DE with equal success... It's not good at all IMO

But that's not 'experience' though .... that's 'rating' ..... are you in danger of confusing/mixing the two ?

Now there's the problem with TOG having both bpos and exp.

Again, this proposal is better.

Not only do I like moty, I think it should be allowed anytime including playoffs.

It used to be.
But then Admin saw the light.

Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough of the light.

So what went wrong? Why was it changed?

Yes, I miss something like a "pass cover" skill in this game that would make the difference between LB and DB. But I think it can't be changed.
Therefore I suppose to change the experience (it has serious impact in gameplay). It's easy: LB with exp. 3 can't play as a CB with the same exp.

TE - on FB - 75 %, RB - 50 %, WR - 75 %, OL - 50 %, KR - 50 %, other positions - 0 %.

etc.

I would just like to say that any position should add some exp to all other positions, never 0%. Just a lower weight for more disimilar positions. Some would be close to zero, especially punt/kicking. All other positions have a little bit of overlap to all others.

In my opinion experience comes from playing games just because a player has played for three seasons in one position and he then changes position it doesn't mean he suddenly becomes a less experienced player just less effective because his skills dont match the position as well. I think the position effectiveness comes with the skills training and as these players are getting better they will become more specialised in their particular position.

I interpret exp as actually playing the position IN GAMES and performing and feeling comfortable UNDER PRESSURE. Not just potential skills.

That is experience and you can get that in any position on the field as long as you are on the field. Skills are position related.
