I have a "less impact"-solution: I just skip the transfers itself fro Friday before Seasonrollover until that is finished...So there is no influence on the transfer market itself. And managers that are too late with their outgoing transfer will face the penalty of losing the transfer money - as intended!

I think he should get the player. And I assume the selling manager (if the player was not a free agent) received the money. Yeap... Give him this player, Pete |

Yesterday afternoon I bought a player for a fairly big sum of money and signed in this morning to get the contract sorted out before I'd lose him. The time difference between him being added to my team and losing him was less than 10 hours and by the time I got signed in he has already left my team. I don't expect him to be re-added to my team but it's very frustrating to lose a player like this. Maybe there can be something done where the transfer of a player is delayed until after the season switchover to avoid other people losing players through no real fault of their own. We transferred this player back to your team. |

What happens presently when a player is bid on with 72hrs of rollover and is transfered after? Come to think of it, what happens to any player purchased mid season? Do you have the option to let them simply play out that season on the weekly wage and then either sign them b4 season end or let them go free agent?

Thank you to Pete for sorting this out and for everyone who replied to this thread. I hope it didn't sound like I was complaining earlier but I'm glad it got fixed. If I had to lose the player or money I'd have understood but hopefully we can come up with a way to prevent this issue in future.

I lost a player too but he only cost $33k but I would be totally miffed about losing a player who cost millions. Personally I would reassign in this instance but from next season onward close the TM from the Wednesday u p d a t e until the rollover has been completed. This seems the most sensible approach for me also. |

Didn't want to create a new thread, since I have a somewhat related question.
Just signed two 20 year olds from the TM to my youth academy last night, they joined at 1am. Since "rollover" happened at 3am and they didn't get kicked out, is it safe to assume that these players will stay in my youth academy until the next season rollover? |

Check with Pete but I would think so I signed a 20 year old too he went to my YA and then when the rollover took place he left because he was too old and I hadn't had chance to promote him |
