I like to discuss here with some managers who follow the Cards.

Lets start with the first pre-season game, the HoF-Game.

It was definitly to early to make new predictions for the new season. What I liked, was the pressure from the Starting D-Line and OLBs. This could be a key in the division with struggeling QBs.

Coming to our struggling QB Kolb. For me he looked the same like last season. A very bad read after the first snap, no improved footwork, moving to much in the pocket and got hurt. So he will miss some reps in the trainingcamp and this could be the huge chance for Skelton. Skelton is not the big name, but he has the confidence to lead the offense. He can walk down the complete field and lead the team to some points on the board.

There is a lot to do in the training camp. I hope Ray Horton can improve the tackling behavior of the D. There were some really bad missed tackles. Eddie Elder was a good example how to tackle the receiver #menu=highlights&tab=recap" target="_blank">Hard hit

Now I'm ready fo more football.

a Cards question ......

How will Andre Roberts do this year ?

I have him in a Dynasty League and I'm wondering whether to stick with him or dump him to Waivers and pick up somebody else ..... I'm thinking that Andre Roberts might not be No.2 receiver if Michael Floyd starts to look good.

I think Roberts will start as the #2 WR in this season. Whisenhunt is not a coach who give a lot of snaps to rookies in the first games. Floyed will be the 3rd or 4th receiver in the first 5 games. If Floyed has a great start, than Roberts will profit, if Fitz and Floyed get the most attention from the defense.
Roberts is a not a sure pick and in a dynasty league I would not stick with him.

The NFC West is different and will be decided by the best defense. Smith, Kolb/Skelton, Flynn/Jackson are all no superb QBs.

For the Cards it is important to show the tough defense of the last 8 games and to have a healthy Wells and Williams behind a QB. Skelton can lead the offense to 21 points. So it its the task of the Defense to allow less points or to score some points.

I dont personally see the Cards winning more than 6 games this season. IMO they have never recovered since the Leinart debacle and have been extremely lucky to keep Fitz in what is and has been the weakest Division in the NFL for a long time.

AFC West is worse. Teams like the Raiders will never put two consistently strong seasons together, San Diego are perpetual underachievers and KC just seem to be so very average all the time. Denver could easily dominate that division if they can get a franchise QB to replace Manning in a few seasons time.

Disagree. The AFC West is bad but all of the teams there are not that far away from being very decent - and its only been the Bolts choking (get rid of Norv Turner!) that has prevented the AFC West being very well represented in recent seasons.

The NFC West though has been trash for eons. Its only the last 2 seasons that the Niners have shown signs of life, the Cards imploded and (if we're being honest) were the worst team in recent memory to get to a Superbowl (how the Packers lost to them ill never know) the Rams have been a shambles since Marshall Faulk and the Seahawks are about in the same league as the Broncos/Chiefs/Raiders.

I reckon you compile the cumulative records of the NFC West v AFC West over the last 5 seasons and the AFC takes it.

Give Flynn a chance :>
As Seattle fan, I was really excited when they signed him. This could be really surprising season
