Nice idea.

One small change suggestion....

If you joined 0-3 weeks after the draft, you step 13 bonus is the 3 draftees your team would have had

4-7 weeks after the draft, you can pick two of the three draftees

8+ weeks after the draft, you can pick one of the three

The negative to this suggestion? Newbies selling those draftees.

Well those draft players are already in the pool so it's only a matter of time before they end up on the TM. The only negative thing about selling them is the money won't leave the game via a free agent, but go to a new team.

You are right! (I realized that since teams formed a week before the draft get to sell the draftees, why not the one formed right after.)

I loved to watch the $202M leave the game when Kühn was sold.....

So how many days after the draft - what's the cutoff?

And what about another one for those that just miss that cutoff by a few days?

and on................and on......................

+1

Beeing also one of those unlucky Managers who have just missed on the Draft when I joined (Last season), this is a good suggestion, it will definately help newcomers to imediately have a more competitive team and stick around, and i also agree that they have to finish the manager license before beeing handled the 3 draft players, it's only reasonable to be that way.

Also like the idea, users don't get to choose when they join, beeing in the middle of the season or at the beggining it is a matter of cheer luck, this option would at least insure one or two players to possible built the team around, much better then having none.

I think it's a nice incentive to stay in the game.

Something could be added to the Manager License intro:

"Welcome to the RZA licensing exercise! This will not only introduce you to the basics of the game, but will also qualify you to receive at least one top- quality player as soon as you complete the program!! Note - the extra player(s) are for play-balance, since you joined the game after the most recent Draft. Depending on how long ago the draft was, you will get your selection of 1, 2, or all 3 players your team reserved for you in the last draft.

Now let's get started on that License! Oh - BTW: Here is a link to those players.... :link:

You know you want them!"

Isn't this the reason we have divisions???? So newbies aren't up against superior opponents every match.

I too came into the game in week 3 of the regular season last year and it's just hardies missing out on the draft.

So much money in the game right now I have a 80K stadium after three quarters of a season and I certainly didn't go all out on stadium build. How long did it take the pioneers (players from day one) to get a stadium that size????

Part of some of these suggestions will open a can of worms with half the draftees hitting the trade for all the big money sharks to trawl over.

Simple, the cut off is draft day. Miss it hardies.

This is a big no from me.

Iirc i think the Draft players that are going to the bot teams will end up in the TM anyways. So where do you see the diference? I only see positive things from this, but i might be missing something.
