You should be able to move players down to your Youth Academy, as long as they fit the requirements of a YA player (16-20 y/o)

You could limit the number of moves to the level of your Youth Academy, in the same way that promotions to the Senior squad are restricted. (max 6 per season)

When you first start playing, you get some 18-20 year olds in your senior roster that aren't good enough to play, and would be far more suited to a few seasons in the Youth Academy.

Also, when your YA is full, players bought on the TM that would normally go to the YA, instead go into the Senior squad.

A mechanism to move these kinds of players to the Youth Academy would be handy.

I had the same thought myself today. The biggest obstacle is what about the draft players. They don't go to the YA now, so this has to be enforced in your suggestion as well.

If Pete thinks draft players in the YA would be a bad idea, then a restriction on them would be fine by me.

Of course, you would need a way to mark drafted players so that they couldn't be moved down.

I think the Idea should be vaild for Player who of age and player are 2 star or less overall. That would prevent most drafty players moving down. But Allows young team to train player that need it.

It would be a interesting concept, and help to not have to sometimes sell a youth player when you really don't want to sell, to make room in your Roster for a recent aquisition. But iirc i think something very similar to this has been suggested and got shutdown, but i am not sure.

OFF TOPIC: The rating this suggestion has is a reason to why i am not very favourable to having ratings on suggestion threads, there are two posters that have posted in favour of this suggestion, zero have posted against it, and yet the rating is "Very Poor" at the time i am posting this.

A possible solution to the rating problem is to only show ratings once X amount of people have voted. Very few people have voted so far, so it's a small sample size. Or to show the number of raitngs alongside the suggestion, in the way that Press Releases are rated.

The draft player issue is the main obstacle for this suggestion.

If draft players are ok to go into the YA, this can be implemented very simply.

If they aren't allowed, it becomes more complex.
