Im actually not a Tebow fan - personally though id have rather kept a young exciting prospect with the potential to be anything than in essence trade him for a legend coming to the end of his career and is extremely unlikely to replicate the success hes been known for at a team that simply does not have the personnel Indy did.

Pittsburgh will have Wallace available for the opener and whilst they wont have Mendenhall, Isaac Redman is plenty for the Broncos to handle. And whilst their D is getting on itself, its still an elite unit and will have seen enough of Manning to know whats coming.

Way i figure it, the Broncos are still in the early stages of a new era. I don't think Elway has done a bad job in drafting and Fox proved his worth last season.

A new D Co this year who i do feel will benefit the team. I think the short term future could be bright for us.

I've just dropped the Broncos Defense from one of my Fantasy Leagues, decided to go with the Bills and the Steelers instead .... sorry

yea, with DJ Williams likely to miss the majority of the season now and Jason Hunter tearing his tircep so he will miss the majority of the season also. The Broncos D took a couple major hits the last couple days.

I don't blame you for taking the Bills and Steelers first but the Broncos D still deserves to be rostered this season. I think this Jack Del Rio Defense is still going to get good results.

If last night's game is anything to go by, the Broncos D are best left on the free agents fantasy list

seems the vultures are circling around Manning already, if reports on NFL.com are anything to go by....

They can circle all they want. Having a man of his calibre on any football team can only be an asset to the club going forwards. Not only is his reading of the defense second to none, with that skill he can help out on the opposite side of the ball too.

Imagine just how much better Andrew Luck would have been with Manning as his mentor.

I may well be not too pleased come the end of the season, but I do stand by the opinion that the Broncos football team will only progress for the next few years.

If this was an Aaron Rodgers/Brett Favre or Joe Montana/Steve Young situation - or maybe a Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck situation....hell even an Peyton Manning/Tim Tebow succession, then id agree with you.

But if Manning doesnt work it - either he just doesnt click (see McNabb in Washington, Favre in Minnesota plus the countless other examples) or he breaks down again - where do Denver go then? Back to Kyle Orton? Where is their contingency? Who is Manning bringing through that will improve Denver sufficiently for the post Manning seasons - because lets face it, with everything working out for the absolute best - he has what 1? 2? 3 max seasons left in him?

Maybe they have a young dynamite QB that Manning is bringing through i dont know about - but it seems he still has alot of issues from him year long injury and its all on Manning on what is not exactly a premium offensive unit.
