So why not be able to buy a "team scouting report" if -

1/ that team is in your league
2/ You have played at least 6 games or so in that league (as has the team you wish to scout)

This would be a huge disadvantage for promoting or relegating teams, they could not act like the others in their league before gameday 7 - based on your numbers. This can only result in another NoGo then. You will agree?

It looks suspiciously like some kind of 'test' to determine if a team is 'serious' , therefore I have to reach for my blue thumbs again ....

But they cannot be scouted either.
In any case that was just a realistic sort of idea based on paying attention, over time, to those you will likely be playing. There is no real need for that restraint at all. I guess there is plenty of film on all teams anyway so there is plenty of access to that no matter how long a team has been where.

So let's just throw away both constraints.

$50-100k for a "Team Scout Report" on any team, accuracy based on scout level.

Perhaps this could be modified a bit. Let's say that when you scout a team, you do not get the scout reports for each player, but a gross report on the average player's stats, or maybe this just expressed in words; If the average str of the OL is >40 the report would list it as "this team has weightlifting champs in the OL", "beware of the fast receivers",..

This of course would be not much use to the more experienced managers, but for the newbies or players with little time to prepare for a game, this could be a useful guideline.

This is not necessarily a money saving exercise but a convenience thing. It's just a lot better than screwing about with emails.

Could apply same to draft - "Scout Entire Draft".

We already have this in the Fron Office menu of every team. It's called team ratings.

Not as gross as that. Take this fictional situation as an example. Let's say team A has a pass defense rating of 51%, but the secret behind this rating is the CBs having 35 tackling with only 30 speed. So when manager B with his speedster WRs sees in the report that manager A has slow CBs, he will insert more pass deep plays on the premise that his WRs ought to get to the ball before the opponent's CBs do. Of course not this engine but in the upcoming one.

Sorry mr Hosh but you are lining yourself up to be shot at better than the light brigade.

How about modifying your suggestion so that all you need to do is press one button and it will scout all your opponents, pick the right playbook to counteract every play they have ever run in the past, sort training, conduct transfers, sort your depth chart. and even post in the forum for you. Maybe even conduct trades in the future as well.

Obviously though it goes without saying that only serious teams could do this. Which leads me to my next question. Are you a serious team? If you are then youre doing a great impression of a not so serious manager.
