4:07 2 and 11 to go on own 46, Danylo Zagrava (OC) snaps the ball to Joffrey Daníelsson (QB), Joffrey Daníelsson (QB) selected Dámaso García (WR/L) as target, Stokan Dokic (DE/R) breaks through the line, Ramon Moiseev (FB/R) blocks, Joffrey Daníelsson (QB) gets sacked by Stokan Dokic (DE/R), 7 yards for loss (Shotgun 4 WR vs. 4-3-4)

If Ramon Moiseev (FB/R) blocks the Stokan Dokic (DE/R), why Joffrey Daníelsson (QB) gets sacked by Stokan Dokic (DE/R)?

This as came up many times, I think the PBP needs to have a better description, Ive seen this countless times in games my team played. Don't think it's a bug, but more like something to be improved, what possibly happened there was that his block only delayed the Blitzer and did not pankaked him or stopped him from carrying on the Blitz. But this should be written in the PBP.

Also posted about something simmilar in a diferent thread:

I ws going through the "To Do List" and found this: The QB should fumble from time to time, especially after Sacks.

Yet this happened in a game my team was involved yesterday, like i previously posted, but did not noticed that something related was on the "To Do List".

1:08 3 and 5 to go on opp 27, Noah Ahmed (OC) snaps the ball to Vicenzo Clori (QB), who runs by himself, this seems to be a run over the left guard, Liberio Couto (MLB) goes for the blitz, Abraham Delong (TE/R) blocks, Vicenzo Clori (QB) fumbles, recovered by Liberio Couto (MLB)
1:04 Liberio Couto (MLB) returns the ball, Vicenzo Clori (QB) is not able to make the tackle, tackled by Abraham Delong (TE/R), this was a 39 yards fumble return

It seems in this play that the MLB Blitzed the QB causing the fumble. So it seems to happening already.

On a related note, maybe a slight improvement could be done in the Play by Play description. For instance in this specific play i posted, the PBP refers to the *TE/R blocking someone, i assume he blocked the MLB who was blitzing, or TRIED blocking him. Because the end result was that the QB had to run to prevent the sack and ended up coughing the ball. But who tackled the QB? It doesnt say, so it can either be the MLB who came on a Blitz, or since no other defender is descrived has having a major part take on this play, he might of fumbled it without no defensive player tackling him. Butter hands basicaly.

e.g.

1:08 3 and 5 to go on opp 27, Noah Ahmed (OC) snaps the ball to Vicenzo Clori (QB), who runs by himself, this seems to be a run over the left guard, Liberio Couto (MLB) goes for the blitz, Abraham Delong (TE/R) trys to block Liberio Couto (MLB) but can only delay him, Vicenzo Clori (QB) fumbles after beeing tackled by Liberio Couto (MLB), recovered by Liberio Couto (MLB)
1:04 Liberio Couto (MLB) returns the ball, Vicenzo Clori (QB) is not able to make the tackle, tackled by Abraham Delong (TE/R), this was a 39 yards fumble return

Just an e.g. this might not even been what happened, but if it was it would be more easely understandble when trying to figure out what occured.

* I read what Pete wrote in this thread saying "the TE does not block the DL completely, he just lowers the speed of the DL."
Is this true for their blocking ability when it comes to the LB's?

Yep, this is just a question of the description. The guy was blocked but not blocked completely. This happens only on blocks outside the both OL and DL, when other players than OL block

I guess I should make that more clear in the playbyplay

So in other words, this applies to FBs and TEs? And RBs don't block at all?

Someone wrote in another thread, think of FB & TE blocks as only chip blocks not a real block.

maybe something like....

"The DE breaks through to the backfield. The FB sees him and comes over to block.

a) The block was successful.
b) But he misses the block!
c) He pancakes the DE!
d) He only got a piece of the DE, giving the QB a little extra time.

(I'm no Al Michaels, so probably something sounding better could be drafted, but this would help RZA managers understand the play better.)

My commentary only has a few comments when blocking

a) he's a useless piece of sh*t
b) he can't block while he has a hole in his a***
c) if you don't shoot him I will

So basically the TE/FB picks up the player ripping though the line and tries to block him.

Could be mentioned that the FB/TE did
"picks him up",
"sees him and gives him a nice welcome head butt",
"tries to hit the shit out of him" or
"let him taste grass"
if succesfull

and
"gets also mowed down",
"got creamed by him",
"made a business decision" and
"sucked up the block"
if he failed the block.
