Not trying to state a range war here, just stating facts as I see them.
The top players in my 1.1 league all run the ball close to 100 % When I play a lousy team, my run game usually crushes them. When I play a lousy team, my pass game is only fair at best. I have 2 elite QB's and 3 elite WR's. I'm trying to pass the ball. See the "Air" in my teams name ? So, what is a mother to do ?? I know what I'm doing...I'm going to run the ball a lot more until these passing rules change. Just my opinion   |

A new match engine with better passing is being trialled this season in the friday friendlies....
Have a look at some of the friendly games to see the difference. |

I view this engine a lot like real life games.
You need to do both when you face teams of similar strength. If you play one dimensional air or ground its easier to defend. IMO... By playing a mix of both you open up both. I scouted one of you QB and WR and they are on par with most season 5 guys. Good luck |

I like that the Passing should be increased BUT:
my oponnent got 420 Yards out of Passing 300 of them out of 4 passes. He completed no long pass so about 90% of the yards are YAC a little to much i think 
I am pretty impressed by this numbers that means i got to change the defense Philosophie completly for the next Season. |

Pete i allways had only 3 DBs on the Field thats why i wrote i got to rethink my Defensive Formation against some O.
I just makes me think that 4-4-3 is a lot weaker against the Pass I thought with mainly short to medium passes the LB should be able to carry the load of tackling after 5-15 yards. Last edited on 2012-08-17 16:58:51 by Tarjan |

yes, I would like to see the passing opened up some, within reason.
just as an aside, the "range war" I was speaking of relates to the old American West, between the cattlemen and the "dirty sheepers". Cattle versus Sheep, you see. All meat, but of a different flavor  |

Most teams I play against play a 5-3-3 formation and my play book is set up to take advantage of that if I cant run the ball. Last night I played a weaker opponent and every time he stopped the run I went over the top. 3 times in the first quarter I threw for 30 yard plus TD passes. Then the DC took over and I managed to move the ball on the ground better.
