I know this isn't a new revolutionary idea. I think a form of it has been proposed before.

Would it be possible and would Peter allow for there to be another column on the training page where you can set a limit for a skill to be trained to? So you would have a drop down that showed the skill and one that showed the limit to train it to.

or....

The same thing but instead of just stopping the training you get an alert in the training report that your player reached the limit.

So lazy...... shamefully so

Monitoring/adjusting Training should be a part of a Management game.

although this suggestion isn't quite the laziest/daftest that I've heard .... that (dubious) honour goes to a previous suggestion of having auto-negotiations for contracts for people who like the idea of contract mode but are too lazy to actually negotiate contracts.

Really? I'm fine with just a comment on the training report that they reached the prescribed skill level. My reasoning is that it might help to avoid over training a skill. It isn't even an auto training option. You still have to choose the skill and how high you want to go with it. With the notification option I mentioned it would mean that the training is still going to go on unless you make the change.

Nope you are badly wrong.

A management game should be about developing strategies, coming up with plans, trying to outwit and out-think your opponent. This is why you play a game.

Tedious administration should be consigned to real life.

Obviously I approve of this suggestion. Anything that makes the game more user-friendly is a good thing.

As for laziness !!! its a computer game, its meant to be fun. That's one of the daftest things I've ever heard anyone say. Anyone playing a game when they should be doing something useful is being lazy.

If a Manager doesn't want to negotiate contracts then don't switch to contract-mode. Simple as that.

Most of the 'Auto-Pilot' suggestions are just lazy 'solutions' suggested by lazy Managers.
So the suggestion is still a big no matter how you try to dress it up.

I think we'd be still getting about in horse and cart if it was up to you. Cars would be for the lazy.

If an idea that makes a certain strategy easier can be implemented, then why not? The only time this should not happen is if the tactic is not necessarily obvious and thus does a managers thinking for him.

This is not one of those occasions and your attitude simply means unnecessary labour.

Irrelevant. You appear to be attempting to twist my words ....and failing with the attempt.
Probably best to keep to the subject.

Really. I fail to see how checking the player's progress after training updates is unnecessary labour.

Perhaps my team isn't serious. Or maybe it's too serious.

So I have a skill at 19 and I want to improve it to 23 and forget the rest of the skills until then. Why should I not be able to set and forget and then get a warning about it at 22.7+ ???

Exactly ...

Its nonsense some of the opinions here. The game should be about forming strategies - anything that makes it easier, more user-friendly and faster to implement them is a good thing.

Going back to the contracts things ... people can disagree for one of 2 reasons.

1. They enjoy going into every single player and deciding exactly how much to offer the player to get the new deal signed and then re-offering etc.

2. They think its more realistic and people prepared to put the work (in the loosest possible sense) in to do it should be rewarded

If the majority think 1 then whether I like it or not, HR as it stands should be in the game. Not sure why people would enjoy it but each to their own. If people disagree for reason 2 then frankly their priorities in life are seriously messed up. RZA isn't work its a fun time waster.

Exactly the same goes for any suggestion that people disagree with on the basis that its being lazy. P
