Why we are speaking about new engine in passing and rushing?
This is the old engine in passing and rushing!
This is the new engine in defence formation choosing only!

but they are very closely linked , so how can you tell ?

Try the following and see what results you get :-

Match A - old engine - supercup (vs average team) - Rush all game from Pro-Set

Match B- new engine - Friendly (vs average team) - Rush all game from Pro-Set

see if the Defense 'learns' better in Match B

It's not scientific conditions, but it might be quite close

Again, this is just wrong. Both rushing and passing was rewritten (partly) in the new engine. Does this answer your "Why?"?

Yes it is an answer.
In this case, now, the new and old engine are looks like same for passing and rushing calculation...

So you're saying you haven't noticed better passing in friendlies? And that you beleive it is simply because people are passing more since running is harder?

No way!

Rushing for 11-19 yards still is possible.
But passing for 11-19 yards still is not possible.
