The Jacksonville Jaguars have committed to play a Regular Season game in the UK in each of the next 4 seasons - 2013 through to 2016.

This is in addition to the St Louis Rams commitment to hold a Regular season game at Wembley Stadium for 3 seasons - 2012 through 2014.

The Jaguars also have an option to hold a second game in the UK.

They will be announcing their 2013 opponents in the forthcoming months.

MY COMMENT

Little surprise IMO - the Jags have struggled to market their team to Jacksonville and they constantly fail to sell out their home games. I think they must be one of the favourites of which franchise is likely to permanently relocate to the UK - although i think they will have a harder time marketing themselves to the UK public than the Rams will do.

However, i think the UK would take any established franchise to heart and they would get great support. As seen at the Olympics, UK sports fans are very passionate and vocal and it would be no surprise to hear the Olympics had a big effect on this decision.

Did the Rams not pull out of the commitment for the long term? I think it was on sky sports teletext that they are focusing on rebuilding their stadium and agreed with the league to withdraw from 2013 onwards

Havent seen that and it wasnt mentioned in the NFL.com news article - though i admit i was surprised they would be having 2 games over here per season at Wembley - so would make sense.

The Rams pulled put a few weeks ago. I think they didn't want to be tied to London in case a move to LA materialises.

It's a good move for a franchise like the Jaguars since it's giving them a chance to attract a bigger fanbase that normally wouldn't be too interested in them. I still want a UK team full time though

Tz the owners is realy in the opinion that in europe nobody knows a difference between the Jags and the Steelers ^^ one is a short living small little franchise the other one is a great team full of tradition and pride ^^

The only way for the jags to have a sold out stadium in the UK is to have games against Raiders, bears, Cowboys or Teams like that and be sure 90% of the spectators will be against those little cats from Florida ^^

Dont agree with that at all - UK fans would fill Wembley with almost any permutation of 2 NFL teams playing a regular season game - the demand may be higher for some more than others (The Raiders NOT being one of those teams!) but id pretty much guarantee a sell out whomever was playing. Whether that would hold true if a franchise played all its home games in London every season is another question - but a one off game per season? Sell out assured.

And if the Jags were playing the Cowpats they would have at least one raucous fan in the stands..throwing eggs and obsceneties at Jason Garrett and his bunch of asswipes....

wonder what people think would be the worst NFL game that could be brought to the UK.

My vote would be the Cleveland Browns v Buffalo Bills

One game maybe would find a sellout crowd but 3 or 4 Games a season i don´t think so.

In old NFL europe Times nor the monarchs or the Claymores reached the amount of spectators of the galaxy or fire so i am not sure if it would not be a "one game wonder".

The worst NFL game to watch? Pick two NFC Teams you will always be right

Or maybee take patsies against the ravens if you want the AFC involved

The NFL has reached new heights here in the UK since those days - if NFL Europe was ever resurrected, or an NFL franchise landed in London, the support would be maniacal.

NFC >>> AFC in terms of Superbowls - individual teams in terms of quality (currently) - i would agree with you. But there are far more well known and better supported teams in the NFC than there are in the AFC.
