And who are they? Are they players from team that went BOT? Are they fired players from active teams? And how does the game decide which one of these players get on the transfer market and when?

Thank you.

Yes and yes, plus players from the last Draft, who where picked by bots.

A number of FA, depending on the number of active teams, enter the TM every day. Which players this are and the time of the end of bidding is random.

What about the number of coaches and their CP-level? Random?

I still think, there are not enough low level CP coaches on the market... I'm searching for two of them for weeks now, but there wasn't one fitting offer. At the moment there are just 5 coaches with less than 55 CP but 8 with more than 95...

[And a rookie manager with a 5.000 stadium is bidding for the 97 CP Headcoach who will cost 888.000 bucks a week...]

The CP-level of the coaches is random with a gaussian distribution. This mean, that there are few coaches with less than 60CP or more than 90CP and most Coaches with around 80 CP.

The only problem there is that Money distribution amongst teams isn't Gaussian .... so plenty of teams (especially smaller/newer teams) will be looking for coaches below 60 CP.

Aside from the distribution of money, it makes not that much sense in my opinion. In real life the air at the top is getting thinner... but at the bottom? Should be an exponential drop from a high number of low level CP coaches.

I think the gaussian approach was taken to make the two extreme coaching strategies a little bit more difficult.

1. extreme approach is to have as much ACs as possible, -> lots of Acs with CP unter 60

2. extreme approch is to have a few exelent Acs with CP > 90.

But maybe I do not remember right ...

That objective has failed then.
It doesn't make the 'extreme' approach any more difficult whatsoever ... it just means more patience and more time/effort initially searching to find the coaches.

I'd caution against the word 'extreme' too .... it implies 'exploit' or 'misuse' or 'abuse' and to me it appears perfectly within the rules therefore I fail to see why it's an 'extreme' approach

a bit more difficult == more patience / more time / more effort

So it did not fail
