I think I can explain it a little bit.

In real Am. Football it is usual that only 1 QB plays. In the most teams this QB plays the hole season - no substitution. Only in cases of injury or big lead the BU QB plays.
And on the roster you have an extra spot for a 3rd QB, I think.

In RZA you have a different rostersize. In RZA it is usual to use 2 QB instead of only 1 because of the PC lost during and after a game when only 1 QB plays the hole game.

Now sometimes it could happen because of injurys during a game the the first and second QB are injured. In this case you need a 3rd QB, but only in this case.

Of course you can put 3 QBs on your DC but then all of this 3 guys play in a rotation or you set up that you wouldn´t substitute the QB. But you can´t setup to play with 2 QBs in rotation and the 3rd only by injuries.

The NFL rule about a 3rd 'Emergency QB' was changed in the last year or two.
The new rule is explained Here

I think turtle wouldn´t have an extra spot on the DC. He only would have a possibility to play with his two QBs but have 3rd on the DC who takes a spot of our 55 DC but only plays when the other two guys are injured.

So the official rule doesn´t really matter. It was only an example for the difference in RZA and real Am. Football.

But that´s not only an Qb "problem".

I got two also as good as the other RB but my 3rd and 4th string guys a way worse then those other two. So i got the same Problem, no sub or sub and all guys will be on the field.

It would be nice if you could tell the team rotate only those guys (in my example 1 and 2 on the DC) and keep those others out of the game as long as nobody is injured.

"Don't substitute" will do that

This is well know. We won't implement such a 3rd QB rule, since the benefit out of hours programming is quite "small"...

Exact: emergency QB counts against 55 for sure - NO extra spot above 55

As Admin said and on this point im on his side: if i want to minimize risk, i have to pay with DC Spot

Only thing is: i dont want him in rotation as long the other 2 are healthy

?

"Don´t substitute" doesn´t mean that nobody isn´t substituted????

I want 1 and 2 on DC playing and 3 and 4 only come in when 1 or is hurt?

Put your 3rd and 4th RB as KR on your DC. Than they will be used as RB if RB 1 and 2 are injured.

Hm sure thats a possibility but is this a reason for a depthchart?

I don´t think so.

I just don´t understand what pete means with his "Don´t substitute" Post
